"They understand the seriousness of the situation and the urgent need to act," Obama told a news conference.

"What we can do is to prod, advise, suggest, but ultimately they're going to have to make these decisions," he added, noting that U.S. solutions to the 2008-09 economic and financial crisis should inspire Europe....

According to this article, Obama and the new socialist French president are ‘pro-growth’ in contrast to that nasty Merkel’s being for ‘strick austerity’.

>>> Obama said decisions about how to solve the euro zone crisis were fundamentally in the hands of Europe’s leaders ...

This shows Obama said something that is totally meaningless all the time.

Maybe if he speaks in Austrian, it will help Europeans understand better and fall in line with Obama’s wishes.

For decades when a Republican was in the White House the MSM never had any problems making plain whose fault it was..

The main reason I stopped watching TV in 1993 was that I expected that with a Democrat president (Clinton) news coverage would include Republican congressmen and senators being asked for their comments. Democrats pretty much were given exclusive access to criticize Republican administrations.

Silly me. The Dem regulars were now featured to explain and excuse the Administration's actions.
