Has anyone else noticed the food stamp ads on the radio. I guess Obama need smote parasites on the dole at taxpayer expense. Aren't you glad that you work. I have no issue with a safety net for the truly needy, but to condone parasitical behavior is obscene.

They’ve been running the “Oh, SNAP!” card commercials on my local station for a couple of months. They are spending million$ (billion?) on running these spots everywhere!
I’ll admit it. I just went on FS last week. But, I just became unemployed after 30 years of continuous employment. I have a wife and 2 kids to support and I’m bustin my ass to secure new employment. (resume writing, headhunters, interviews,etc.). As soon as I find a new job, I’ll be off of FS, hopefully never to return.
IMO, I should represent what the system was built for, i.e. TEMPORARY assistance. But the abuse of the system is so widespread that I notice some of the looks I get when I whip out the FS debit card. I’m in So. Cal. so it’s no big deal but I still get the look.
Yes, it is horrible. I almost went into palpitations and drove off the road I was so angry. But had to get ahold of myself. lol

What annoys me is Obama wants to make this a trend, a way of life, aka redistribution of wealth.

So, when we all get sick and tired of working, lose our jobs because we are so dejected at the prospect of our first black post-racial President acting like a pimp who won the lottery, and we just check out, give up and join the leeches, who in the hells pays then?
They are called 401Ks, 403Bs, IRAs, Roth IRAs, stock market accounts, savings account - any form of relatively liquid assets. The only source of money not tied to Obama’s constituents: blacks, Unions, 99% liberals, illegals, et cetera....
Boy, the Hollywood liberals like Barbara, Sara JP, et al are really gonna be pissed when they lose theirs....

The Constitution does not have a provision for government charity. The whole concept of government charity is maybe 100 years old. It has gone disastrously wrong.
The safety net is why we have a deficit.
Minimum wage is why we have unemployment.
Food stamps are why some people decide not to work.
I have a big issue with a safety net for the truly needy.
Churches?
Benevolent societies?
Neighbors?
These are the traditional alternatives for when the truly needy need help. The government has killed them, because the government is manufacturing slaves.

Well in state of CA I notice we have Californian for Change get food stamps for healthy eating any SO CAL person would tell you the commerical run constantly on all tv channels
The term “Food Stamps” is ancient history. People on welfare are now given debit cards.
When I was a checker at a major grocery chain, I chatted with the shoppers, as I ran their food over the scanner.
One guy came up with T-Bone steaks, Porterhouse steaks, filet mignon, rib eyes, etc. All the biggest and best cuts of meat.
I kiddingly said, “Wow! Looks like you’re going to have a big barbeque!” He replied, “Hell, no, lady! This is all for muh dawgs! Ya cain’t buy dawg food with food stamps - so I get ‘em people stuff!”
And he whipped out FOOD STAMPS to pay for it all. (Over $200)
