Mediaite Ranks Sarah Palin as America’s Top TV Pundit and Influencer
A Time For Choosing ^ | June 22, 2012 | Gary P. Jackson

Posted on 06/22/2012 3:07:05 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Here’s something we missed until our good friend Jackie Siciliano from the Sarah Palin Blog brought it to our attention. Mediaite, a left wing website that tracks the media, also ranks the power of TV pundits. 175 pundits in all made their list.

When it comes to being the most powerful, and influential, it’s Sarah Palin all the way. And not just on television. Karl Rove is ranked number two, but as Jackie points out on her website, when you study the various ranking points, it’s a distant second.

You’ll notice that in every category of influence, Sarah is either number one or number two.

Steve Flesher at Conservatives4Palin has a little more on this, in an article taking on “Moaning Joe” Scarborough, MSNBC’s resident liberal who plays a Conservative on television, and Tucker Carlson, the misogynist publisher of The Daily Caller, whose “Senior Editor” we called out a few days ago for having not one, but two articles begging Sarah to endorse Mitt Romney, while at the same time deeming her irrelevant.

From C4P:

When the left attempts to smear and distort Palin’s record and performance as a candidate in 2008, we expect it. However; when alleged conservatives purposely disparage their party’s last VP nominee, it can be off-putting (considering their early calls for unity during the primary). We know Palin’s excellent and well-vetted record is in the public domain. We also know she did much more for the massive conservative victory in 2010 than either Scarborough or Carlson did.

However; a look at Mediaite’s real-time ranking of power-players might explain the recent cheap shots. Business-as-usual might be good for politicians in Washington, but with Palin’s presence in the world of influence and commentary, it’s becoming more competitive for pundits and journalists of every stripe.

Aside from having his Politico piece re-tweeted only 25 times in more than 12 hours, Joe Scarborough ranks at #30 among radio show hosts and an even-worse #62 among TV hosts. From the looks of these numbers, it looks like “Morning Joe” might as well say “goodnight!” What’s interesting is Mediaite claims the show “generates headlines” but explains that the ratings never seem to correlate.

Tucker Carlson of Daily Caller ranks at #12 for online editors and #32 among TV pundits. While these numbers are a little better than Scarborough’s, they’re still lacking considering how long Tucker’s been in business as a pundit.

Considering these dismal rankings, you’d think GOPe pundits like Scarborough and Carlson would want to see who currently ranks as #1 to get an idea of how to appeal to more people to gain more interest.

Read more here.

Steve is wasting his breath on “Moaning Joe” and Bow-tie Man. Those two will never get it, because they aren’t Conservatives. And they aren’t Sarah Palin!

It’s amazing how this woman who we are told is absolutely irrelevant [at least 100 times a day] is so completely relevant! So relevant, she’s America’s top opinion leader.

Of course, chances are you already knew that.

Thanks again Jackie.

Palin is an important conservative leader, and is especially important now that Romney is head of the GOP with her representing the Reagan wing.

Your childish trolling and hijacking of a thread of this topic and every thread that you can find on the conservative leader, and her family is more a political agenda than merely an infrequent casual remark.

Or maybe I just don’t like her accent and the way she speaks.
As if to kindergartners or moronic idiots.

I mean hey.. if you can make up reasons why I don’t like her
I’m surely allowed to give a couple of real reasons.

You carry on and have a wonderful evening. Be of good cheer
and try, if you must “call names”.. to do so more creatively.

Do you like sandwiches?

Wasn't HG asked by JR to stay out of the Palin threads, after the last kerfuffle??

You have to give him props for staying away for a couple of months. Still the call of Sammiches when he sees a beautiful woman is too strong to ignore.

Moreover which other thread topic would he get so much tender loving attention. That is important for a lonely guy.

It is pretty hard for the GOPe’s opposition to have useful, and affirming threads when the very mention of the most prominent opposition leader draws thread hijackers to divert and bury the thread.

Failing to revere someone diverts and buries a thread?
Who knew?

As much as they hate her, I just don’t understand why one of the “Big Three” hasn’t hired her to do a talk show. It’s absolutely money in the bank.

'The Romney folks can’t possibly be slower or dumber than McCain’s; but maybe (dare I hope) they’re waiting to pop a Convention surprise. High negatives don’t always mean unelectability; sometimes they mean denial."

Interesting viewpoint. IIR after Romney's last failed attempt - many of his staff were added to McCain's camp. They played a big roll in dissing Sarah. Do you think that Romney was not aware of this? I think he was looking ahead to his next run & didn't want Sarah competing with him.

So, now where does that leave us?

I am genuinely amazed at your unfailing ability to conflate reverence with respect. Maybe someday, when you’ve done as much for conservatism as she has, she will send you a sandwich. U.S. mail. Third class. Moose.

Palin isn’t the Pope

No one said she is - so it must be the anti-palin misfits are looking for something similar, so they support the anti-palin leader, Romney, who is a bishop of a cult.

making light of her will not send anyone’s soul to hell.

No one can send anyone's soul to hell, it by THEIR OWN CHOICE and it's telling by what's in their heart.

Luke 6:45 "The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks".

The evil man (Romney) brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Overflow- four years of speaking LIES and smearing Palin and then millions on lying attacks ads against Newt to deceive.

Mitt's mutts follow suit.

Maybe so, I don't pay so much attention to them.

You sure seem to foam at the mouth about 'em quite a bit though.

I'll defer to your obviously greater familiarity.

Palin would win over the FR crew, and approximately 100% of every poster who’s threatening to leave over Romney.

Just saying.

The several (vocal) “opponents” not counting.

Palin would be huge. Huge.

Not saying likely, but maybe.

Just maybe.
