More importantly, where are the rainbow posse protesters?

WAS THAT A SET-UP FOR A 'POOR COUNCIL' APPEAL?
No.

DID THE DEFENSE ATTORNEY JUST FALL ON HIS SWORD?
No. It's more likely that he's sending a signal to the judge and his colleagues that Sandusky admitted his guilt in private.

DID THE DEFENSE JUST TAKE A DIVE?
No.

As a lawyer, I'll say it's the most astounding presser I’ve ever seen. The only professionally logical explanation I can think of is he's decided the best thing he can do, given the devastating evidence, is fall on his sword and give Sandusky a claim of incompetent counsel and a very slim shot at a new trial.

He said, while we were waiting for the verdict, something like he’d die of a heart attack if his client receives no convictions.

Appeals will have no chance. Sandusky got a fair defense. This was a strong, strong case.

Posters who don’t see anything out of the ordinary -

Just for the record, did you watch the WHOLE thing? All 10 mins? Did you hear his answers during the last 5 mins? I’ve seen the losing side’s presser many times. I know the loser sometimes refrains from calling the judgement of a jury, judge or opposition team into question but this struck me as very different. He almost seemed to be saying the verdict was right, his client IS guilty as charged, everyone did their job perfectly including the jury AND the prosecution, there were no procedural mistakes of any kind... but we plan to appeal.

What?

Agreed, it was weird. Almost as if the guy was glad he was convicted, and maybe he was, but if it wasn’t a deliberate move on his part, it was very unprofessional.

He should be sued for malpractice for that interview he gave before the jury verdict.

“Lots of people have been executed and later proved to be innocent”.

That is a lie. In fact just a couple of weeks ago the first such case in HISTORY, after YEARS of trying to find one, was announced.

This was the weirdest press conference by a defense attorney after losing a trial I have ever seen!

That's the first thing I though of last night . . . trying to get another trial for this monster so they can wring those kids through the wringer again. Are they sickos or what?

I really hope someone gets to the 6'4" monster and rearranges a few bodily parts . . . real soon, too!

Well before the verdict even came in he said that if his client was acquitted he would probably have a heart attack. This guy needs to go on the comedy circuit.

These defense attorney’s are probably so grossed out by their own client they wanted him put in prison.
