Obama bets on young veterans (They're serious!)

President Barack Obama is trying to win over a historically difficult demographic for Democrats: veterans.

And there’s some evidence in last week’s otherwise unimpressive jobs numbers that it’s not an impossible mission.

The unemployment rate appears to be dipping for post 9/11 veterans, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the first six months of 2012, that figure has mostly stayed below 10 percent, in contrast to 2011, when the unemployment rate for that group hit double digits every month that year except for August.

These mostly younger veterans, known officially as Gulf War Era-II veterans, have experienced higher rates of unemployment than just about any other demographic in the country. According to last Friday’s figures, that number is now at 9.5 percent, down from last June’s 13.3 percent.

The trend is promising, although unemployment figures are volatile, said Rob Diamond, director for the Obama campaign’s veterans and military families outreach initiative...

Remember that veterans who are stationed abroad have been given great leeway in voting, on-line voting and extended voting periods. Democrats could very easily manipulate the military votes to fit any scenario necessary, in any region of the country.

Remember that the Democrats tried to block the military vote in Florida because they knew that the military vote would favor Bush in 2000.

These young vets have to be impressed with Obama's smooth handling of the ME situation, which is resulting in a probable loss of Afghanistan to the Taliban while tripling of the US casuality rates year to year.

Thank goodness Iraq was almost totally pacified by the time this buffoon took office.

Funny, the vets that I’ve talked to about Obama usually use their middle finger when discussing their opinions about the Dork-in-Chief.

Right... these veterans will have all the faith in the world in Obama... after all, look how smoothly he's handled the war in Afghanistan.

Obama thinks he can win the veteran vote?
Wow. Maybe he can be impeached for being insane!
I have regular contact with many different military organizations both active and inactive. Very few veterans support Obama because of his shoving perverts on them, wanting to raise their insurance costs and because they know he truly has no respect for them....

Only way this will happen is with massive voter fraud (not that I’m ruling that out!)

“work visas to illegal aliens”

Say what?

You can argue against issuing work visas to foreigners with skills American companies want to employ - but people here on work visas are not illegal aliens.

Unless you know something about it I don’t.

Do you?

Let’s see how getting the veteran vote works our for the Dems! They are desperate, they’ve done everything they can to screw them, as well as deny their votes.

Yeah, a Gallup survey released a few weeks ago gave Romney at 20+ point advantage among veterans of all ages. Even if Barry O gets a few votes among younger vets, it won’t be enough to turn the tide. In fact, Gallup’s analysis of that poll said Romney’s dominant position among vets is the one factor that is keeping him within the margin of error, or with a slight lead.

Naturally, the press is depicting this as superior political strategy by the Anointed One. In reality, it’s a sign of desperation. Put another way, his “base” is tapped out, and they’re looking for more voters in every nook and cranny of the electorate.
