Wolf Blitzer Blasts President Obama for Being NAACP ‘No-Show’: ‘Romney Did the Right Thing"

Here is something I’d like to say to President Obama: You should have attended the NAACP convention in Houston today. Mitt Romney did. It was the right thing to do.

Talk about disrespecting you key constituency!

Instead Obama sent Mr. “Fast & Furious” Holder and Mr. “Foot in mouth disease” Biden. He might has well have flipped them the bird to make sure they got the point.

Obama could have mooned them over Skype and they still would have convulsions to support him.

Romney need not waste his time with those hacks.

Perhaps Mitt Romney did not need to “waste his time” before the NAACP, but with Obama essentially simultaneously “flipping them the bird” and “mooning” this vital part of his constituency, the contrast is very, very stark.

Maybe not 95% of the Americans of African descent will go for the “brutha” this election. They may decide, this time, to sit on their hands or vote only the down part of the ballot.

Our best hope with this bunch is that they sit this one out in large numbers. Then even that would only be enough to put some finishing touches on the rout.

Maybe not 95%, but it will probably never get below the high 80s. There is no reason for Obama to even waste a spare thought on them.

Don’t be so quick to dimiss.

I saw a poll the other day stating Obama was losing support among blacks (too little freebies).

A loss of 15% of the black vote, mostly do to sitting out, could be a decider.

Obama could have sent a janitor and these drooling morons would still vote for him on election day. Talk about having a constituency completely locked up...

The brutha is actually only 1/2 pure.

A fact that isn’t pointed out by the MSM when they talk about this being the NAACP.

They like to use the racial divide angle instead .

Romney Receives Standing Ovation for Straight Talk at NAACP Convention

I think people are misunderestimating the negative impact of Obie's gay marriage stand. While the black community will not shift voting tendencies much, they may very well stay home, which will destroy the Dems down ticket.

... but what we have seen at FR is the predictable response from the myopic Mitt haters.

They would do well to have their navels replaced with a Plexiglas lens...

It’s rare for any candidate to attend a function that isn’t a “friendly audience” or where they can’t “control the message”. Goes for both parties.

Romney got lustily booed at the NAACP convention for his direct criticisms of Obama & Obamacare. Not unexpected. In fact, I suggest that it was a masterful move since the News Media reflexively plays tapes like this and thus Romney’s message went out “unfiltered” along with the boos.

So while Romney didn’t sway a single vote inside the NAACP convention, he probably earned a million votes from amoung suburban independants who will admire the guts it took to stand up to those jackals.

Maybe the Romney campaign isn’t so dumb?
