It's going to be Brunner. The other two are professional politicians. He's not.

Do you know if Freedom Works is going to do anything for her before the primary? I know the TPE is on board.

“The other two are professional politicians. He’s not.”

No more career politicians if there is a choice.

One of the things that concern me about both Durant and Hoekstra is their hard “moderate” establishment supporters. Saul Anuzis is a Durant supporter and Mitt Romney supports Hoekstra.

None of them are flawless so I really don’t have any preference and still haven’t made a decision yet myself and I have no problem supporting any of them in the general over Stabenow. I suspect the nominee will be Hoekstra because he has the biggest guns on board (Cain, Santorum, Romney, etc)

Two thumbs up for Clark Durant, but only because that’s all the thumbs I have.

I'm still undecided in the senate race and it doesn't look like there is much of a challenge to Walberg from either side in the 7th district. I will be pulling for Hoogandyke against Upton but I don't vote there.

I too am voting for Durant...but tv is now full of anti-Durant advertising...RINOs out in full force to protect their DC hegemony.

If it’s “on to Durant” then we’d better get going! Someone needs to contact Palin, and quickly.

I didn’t know Upton is facing a challenger. Have you seen any polls on the race?

It’d be nice to see another member of the Republican Main Street Partnership kicked to the curb.

Yep, Durant is the “Hillsdale College” guy, IIRC. Can’t go wrong there.

Keep an eye on those local races too. We have a wannabe royal family trying to seize control of the whole township board so they can halt those evil oil and gas drilling earth rapists.

I have conversed with Hoekstra, i will only vote for him to keep democrats out. Don’t know much about Durant, some of us little people are going to have to get in the race. We need less government.

I just don’t have a hard preference one way or the other. Hoekstra has a less than stellar record and Durant has no record at all.

I’ll probably vote for Durant but expect Hoekstra to be the nominee.

Sorry, I have to disagree with Sarah Palin on this one.

Sarah Steelman is not the conservative she portrays herself to be. The greatest example of this is that while she was in the state Senate and as State Treasurer, she supported the trial lawyers (her husband, David, is a trial lawyer) and did NOT support TORT reform. It was only after she began running for US Senate that she started claiming to support TORT reform.

Secondly, after she lost the gubernatorial primary to Kenny Hulshof in 2008, she "pouted" like an angry child, refused to endorse and/or work for him, and only reluctantly began to support him the final weekend prior to the general election.

She's not the conservative she claims to be - she's a moderate. I do not trust her and will be voting for someone else.

Durant has endorsement from someone at Hillsdale College, I forget the name. For what it is worth.

I am leaving in a minute to go to the Clare County Fair. I’ll be going to the GOP booth, in my Durant t-shirt, to give thim more Durant campaign material. We are making a dent up here. FoxNews has shown the race here in Mich. is tightening up. We really do have shot. But I will still vote for whomever wins the nomination, as well as help in the campaign.
