What Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin said will bring us continuing fallout from now until Election Day. We cant change that. For the record if I were a Missourian I would vote for Akin without hesitation. But that is now beside the point.
We cannot run away from the issue of abortion. Akin has dropped us all in the middle of a deep lake leaving us with three options.
We can do nothing cover our eyes and drown; we can go into full retreat and waste precious time and energy making our way back to the near shore; or we can go on offense and push on to the far side.
Clearly we have no choice but to fight, yet this need not be a Picketts Charge with no hope of gaining anything.
If ever there was a time since Roe v Wade for a national showdown on abortion 2012 is it. A recent Gallup survey found a 50/41 against abortion lowest . for abortion in their records.
It may turn out that there is no way to totally fix this problem, but there is a way to ameliorate it and cut the damage and that is by going on all in offensive. There is nothing to be gained by starting small there is no time to think small.
We must immediately draw a contrast between Barack Obamas grotesque bloodlust for infanticide not just partial birth abortion but infanticide- for demonstratively political purposes and the wholesomeness of legitimate family life and reverence for the sanctity of the lives God gives us.
Obamas opposition to saving Born Alive Babies
As an Illinois State Senator Obama did everything he could to kill legislation to save the lives of miracle Born Alive abortion victims

Agreed. Palin was on television last night floating the idea of a third party candidate if Akin doesn’t drop out. Disastrous idea.
bump
Exactly. We are winning big all over the place. Time for the Conservative/GOP movement to quit being distracted by the Democrat/Media propaganda machine
You do not win wars by staying on the defense. The dominate issue is still the economy
I could not agree more, let’s talk about 0blammers failed policies. Akin has nothing to do with the part where I am worse off than 4 years ago.
Nobody is going to listen to the issues as long as this clown is running around the theatre with his combover on fire.
Yes - lets for once not dance to the leftwing media's tune.
Have called for Akin to step down for the sake of the country:
Rush Limbaugh
Sarah Palin
Sean Hannity
Mark Levin
Tea Party Express
Charles Krauthammer
Dennis Prager
Ann Coulter
National Review editorial board
Hugh Hewitt
etc etc etc
Agreed.
Agreed. Use hammer and tong to go after the Rats.
I would go with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.
Yep, he’s an idiot, but he’s OUR idiot!
NOT YET! Wait till after the Dem convention! Waiting will him and every Repub more. Also wait to see if he does another stupid thing.
“Nobody is going to listen to the issues as long as this clown is running around the theatre with his combover on fire.”
That is funny, but also sadly true.
Akin puts the GOP on permanent defense.
His hubris could cost us the White House.
Exactly, go in and educate with truth and honesty and expose the left for the heartless conniving murderers that they are and let people know the truth. Use this to bring abortion to the front and center and let America choose once and for all whether God will bring judgment or blessing in the 40th year of Roe Vs Wade.
Vote for Akin and the TRUTH.
Agreed. . .so Pubbies need to stop dumping gasoline on the guy and focus on the issues.
