he is correct.
...blowout of historic proportions.

“No Democrat has won the presidency since 1948 without winning the Catholic vote. Obama is not even close. “
So the Catholic vote went for Obama, Clinton, Carter? Not much consistency, there.
LOL! I guess those of us who predicted this were right despite the many self-proclaiming experts who tried to shout it down. It will be interesting to see what the final numbers are at the poll that counts.
How a Catholic can say they are Catholic and not see that Dems give them abortion, sodomy, anti God, anti Bible, pro illegal alien, anti Israel rhetoric, and then vote for the Dems is beyond me.
Many times I have asked right here, where are the Bishops and cardinals that have come out against Obama and i get a few oped pieces thrown at me. What is being said at church? Very little, IMHO. Where is the outrage at Obama Care forcing the hospitals to pay for abortions? They will point to a lawsuit, but there should be outrage in the pews. All of this is because the liberal priests. bishops and cardinals want the welfare and unemployment to keep rolling in.
How else can we explain Boston, NYC and others supporting Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, et al? The movers and shakers in the Church are libs and we have covered our eyes for too long. There needs to be church discipline, but the church sees nothing to discipline. This has to come from higher up.
That poll makes the shunning of the Bishop IN-explicable to me. You would think they would welcome any help they could get and having a Bishop bless the group couldn’t hurt.
As a Catholic, I love what Paul Ryan has to say about the issues - never heard a contradiction from him. Romney on the other hand has to keep up the present persona and get us to believe he has totally abandoned past liberal positions.
Two points: This explains why they didn’t invite the Cardinal because they are trying to attract anti-Christians in general and anti-Catholics in particular. They can’t afford to send a mixed message. The Cardinal gambled and won. He knew very well they would say no. Now they have a bigger problem than they could ever imagine because the Cardinal has obviously been waiting until after Labor Day to start to fight. He has a huge lead already without really trying.
With 52% Pennsylvania has the highest percentage of self-identified Catholics in the country. Look it up.

I thought Rhode Island did?
Sure. It’s more likely that this generation will pay its own debts than Romney will win in a “blowout of historic proportions.”
I can imagine the conversation between Obama and Joe Biden.
Obama: “Hey there, Joey! How many Catholics are in the US?”
Biden: “I donno. A hundred? Kin I have a cookie?”
Obama: “Okay, a hundred. How many Muslims?”
Biden: “Mooses?”
Obama: “No. The other ones.”
Biden: “Oh, a whole bunch I guess. Like a bazillion.”
Obama: “Okay, that settles it. We’ll stick it to the Catholics, because they don’t matter, and invite the Muslims to pray at our convention, so they will vote for us.”
That reminds me of a saying our previous LCMS pastor said during a non church event. "I don't know how any Christian can go to church on Sunday and vote for a democrat on Tuesday."
A couple of weeks ago during adult Bible class, we were talking about the flag being at half staff - which turned out to be after the shooting. The class leader said it should be at half staff until 0 bummer is gone. Everyone agreed with him.
Catholic is the only denomination identified for Christian voters, the rest are merely lumped together as Protestant, so whether one is an Episcopalian lesbian, a Southern Baptist that hasn't attended church since child hood, or a Methodist Minister, if they still say that they are Christian, then they all are counted as "the Protestant vote".
Good post, and I think that the Catholic vote for Obama nationally, will be the reverse of what it was in 2008, with a couple of points to spare.
Because they have lost their Faith.
