No, they don't say, Draw. It's generally, Give me your money, your car, your walletAt which point, I'd reach into my pocket and pull my revolver and start shooting.

“the element of surprise ALWAYS defeats the gun carrier”
This is true. However it still does not defend gun control laws.

I wouldn’t pull, just start shooting.
You can repair the hole in your pocket later.

“They say that the thug will have the “Drop” on you before you know they are there. They claim that you will make no moves with a concealed weapon to defend yourself as they rob you of your money and take your gun. No, they don’t say, Draw. It’s generally, Give me your money, your car, your wallet, or if its a business, Give me whats in the till.
Here’s how that goes:

Exactly why I carry a double action only, shrouded hammer revolver in my pocket. Drawing is for movies.

According to DOJ crime statistics, guns are used 2.5-million times per year to prevent robberies, rapes, murders, carjackings, home-invasions, etc., 99% of the time without a shot being fired.

Damn. I have erroneously been thinking my carrying a concealed weapon would be a surprise for the bad guy. Maybe my being in CA instead of FL or TX makes my prediction more of a reality.

I was on the Orange Line platform at Tufts after seeing Les Mis with my parents. Two utes wearing red bandanas approached us. I slightly unzipped my jacket and put my right hand inside. They turned around and went back down the platform.

Personally, I think it would be an element of surprise the other way when a gun appeared. Definitely be a big surprise if someone came into my house in the dark. Surprise no. 1 is when my malinois has him by the arm on the floor.

Even with the heavier DAO trigger pull on smaller automatics, I’d stay away from ANY holster that offers no trigger protection, unless you carry unchambered.

If someone believes he or she has, “no realistic possibility of self defense” with a firearm, then fine; don’t carry one. But don’t tell everyone else what they can or cannot do. The right to self defense is not contingent on what someone else believes is possible. Why is this so hard to understand?

It does if you are Jesse Owens.

Good move! Hope you had a piece, but if the ‘feint’ worked; perfect! (Didn’t work for me in ‘74 when I was robbed and shot, but then I wasn’t carrying. After getting out of the hospital (still carry the .32cal), I’ve carried everyday, since. Won’t be a victim, twice...)

Lots of assumptions by the anti-gunners to put the honest victim in the worst possible situation. Why not just have an assassin shooting at me with a sniper rifle from a quarter mile away and ask "What's your pistol going to do for you now? Your gun is worthless."
