Romney Leads, Obama Follows

After almost a full term in the Oval Office, President Barack Obama still has no idea how to be an effective American president. A little over 2 months before he could even get the job, Republican nominee Mitt Romney proved that he knows how it's done.

Last night Mr. Romney accepted his party's nomination with the words "President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. My promise is to help you and your family." Today he is providing a real world example of the difference between himself and the self-absorbed, ineffective incumbent by travelling to Lafitte, Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Isaac. Mr. Romney will be touring an emergency command center with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal seeing that families will get the help they need. Meanwhile President Obama is in Texas for what the White House says is official business but even the mainstream media is calling "an election-year reminder" that the Iraq War ended under his watch.

Over the holiday weekend our Candidate-in-Chief will be jetting around the country. On Saturday he'll be campaigning in Iowa, on Sunday in Colorado and on Monday in Ohio. Only after Governor Romney announced his Friday trip to storm-damaged Louisiana did the president's spokesman hastily announce that Mr. Obama will do the same...after his campaign stop on Monday.

In the past four years we have learned the painful lesson that President Obama is not a leader. Just hours after he officially became the GOP nominee we learned that Mitt Romney is such a strong leader that the current president of the United States will follow him.

“In the past four years we have learned the painful lesson that President Obama is not a leader.”

WE learned it... Obama did NOT learn anything.

He was not ready for prime time in 2008 and he never will be.

He doesn’t get this ‘President’n’ thing!

I’m LOVIN’ this whole empty chair thing! Right out of Alinsky and into BO’s lap. The “chair” could actually be the defining moment that lost Obozo the election.

I also believe we’ll see some BO stickers removed. Nobody wants to be associated with such a loser.

“If people can’t do their job, we have to let them go”, per Clint Eastwood. Woohoo.

“He doesn’t get this ‘President’n’ thing!”

...I’ve never believed for one minute that BO didn’t know what he was doing from the start. He’s destroyed as much as he can and will continue as a lame duck. That was his goal. He’s been very successful.

Here’s how I would have re-written Romney’s convention speech:

“And now I would like to address a few comments to you directly, Mr. President. For the good of the country, for the good of our children, for the good of our grandchildren and for the good of all working people, I ask you to step aside. If you are unwilling to do so voluntarily, I ask the American people to have you removed from the White House.

But, Mr. President, I have one promise to make to you. Once I am president, I will guarantee that I will do all in my power to help you find employment. At least that is more than anything you have done in the past four years for those Americans who have been unemployed. I will make sure that you have a home to live in and that is more than you did to all those who had to leave their homes because of foreclosure. And I will make sure that the job I help you to find comes with health benefits because once I am in the White House I will be repealing Obamacare.

Just one last thing, Mr. President: the job that I will help you to find will require you to work for the salary you will get and you won’t have much time to play golf. But that, Mr. President is fairness at work since very few Americans who have to work to support their families get to play all that much golf since they have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet.”

Another campaign stop for both candidates. Why can’t these politicians stay home and stop getting in the way?

Agreed. Everyone is making fun of the empty chair and jabbing Clint Eastwood, but I think it will come to define Obama’s presidency. He was never there.

He's certainly raiding the til.

Liberals do this a lot. When they can't sail the boat, they foul the rigging.

Everything we know about Obama provides evidence that he has no interest in being an American President, as the concept has always been understood. He is fundamentally antagonistic to our traditions; to our ethos as the heirs to self-reliant societies of free men, who respect one another's achievements, and intend to pass on the fruits of each generation's success to their descendants.

His very entrance to adult life, was more analogous to the serpent whispering corruption into Eve's ear, than to anything suggesting an American approach to public service. (Community Organizer.) No, I know that is not how the media chose to spin his antics.

This is going to be the debate chair. Empty because der leader will not be there. I still question republicans letting the LSM moderate the debates. IDIOTS.

The Romney/Ryan team is delivering the goods. We must hold steady through the Democrat's blow back. We shine the light of truth while the Dems try to lie, cheat and steal the election. Shine the light.

That makes “Whale Wars” a great analogy to the Dems. They can’t steer the whalers’ ships, so they try to foul the props with cables.

Looks like Romney knows how to be a president. Its like in his DNA or something. Its a thing called leadership. I must admit—I was impressed with mitt’s talk.
