Occupy RNC ends in tears, frustration
Daily Caller ^ | 8/31/12 | By Zach Gorelick

Posted on 09/01/2012 3:48:20 AM PDT by Clint N. Suhks

TAMPA, Fla. — Republican National Convention protesters sobbed in each other’s arms as their weeklong series of protests came to an abrupt and unremarkable end.

As Mitt Romney delivered his remarks at the RNC on Thursday night, marking the end of planned events, demonstrators living in the “Romneyville” protest camp led a final march through the streets of Tampa.

Following a fragmented march against the GOP, TheDC’s photo team spoke to several protesters who said they were disappointed by low turnout at protests and the lack of open discussion between protesters and Republican leadership.

Referencing the large number of bicycle-based police officers, a protester named Lash told TheDC, “we can see liberty crumbling on bikes.”

Lash, 26, described himself as a “conservative” and “a member of the Libertarian Party for six years” as he sobbed on the shoulder of Mike, a fellow protester.

“I love that we have an anarchist forum here, and I really love us, but I hate that our forum can’t even talk with their conservative forum,” he said. “The police just silence us, the Republicans just silence us. We are just getting silenced everywhere we go. It’s like no one wants to even hear what we have to say.”

Mike, 26, told TheDC that he participated in Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City before arriving in Tampa.

Allegedly an MIT student (expelled for truancy issues), Mike said that he quit within a few months “with just enough to get out” and gave $50,000 to charitable causes. Since then, he says, he’s “barely had a dollar” in his pocket.

Lash, you sure you understand the differences between "Libertarian" and "conservative"?

Where did he get the $50,000 in the first place. This boy is certainly no brain surgeon. Might just be a lying sack of pooop though.

They’re crying because apart from appearing at demonstrations and protests, they have no lives. They’re crying because now they have to find another reason for existing. But there’s always some leftist cause going on somewhere, and there’ll always be Soros money to keep them alive for another month or two. But what to do when Soros finally croaks? That’s alright, just as there’ll always be a leftist protest somewhere, there’ll always be some leftist billionaire (what a strange conjunction) to donate money to the pitiful blips who have no lives other than protesting something.

I remember a “libertarian anarchist” forum. It was instrumental in starting the arab invasion and insurgency in iraq, and also, probably, in the installing of Obama since they telegraphed their intent beforehand. It was full of AQ and MB people, communists and nazists. And it folded right after the Obama win.

That was his government provided student “loan” that, like many mortgages a couple of years ago, never had a chance at being repaid.

MSM igorned their kooks because they know to middle America the ‘Occupy’ nuts = lazy smelly rapist anarchist unemployed crazy people.

Basically, the Democrat party.

Also shows that if the media doesn’t show up... these groups don’t exist. They are there in small numbers to steal headlines and get coverage.

MSM did cover ‘Code Pink’ because it fit into the fake war on women agenda and apparently they don’t poll as bad - though equally nutty and far left.

<HERE ARE A FEW HELPFUL TIPS FOR GETTING YOUR MESSAGE ACROSS:

(1) Think your positions and message all the way through to logical conclusions....

(2) Make your case as passionately as you wish--
...without violating the person, space, or dignity of the people you hope to engage and persuade...

(3)Present yourself to others a person with some basic self-respect--and-- a basic level of human respect for the persons you wish to inform and/or challenge with your message...
(4)Learn to model a demeanor of maturity and cogent thoughtfulness---not just sloganeering...
--AND--
Look within yourself for a willingness to seek common ground for the beginning of the conversation...

(5) Enter the arena of ideas with a teachable spirit
--Bringing your own willingness to learn, grow, and modify your views as you continue to grow into a mature and complete worldview.

"Where did he get the $50,000 in the first place."

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that a parent, or grandparent might have been willing to spend that much had he stayed in school. He would have "given it up" when he flunked out. A little self serving exaggeration would turn that into "gave it to charity".
