Better a Mormon than a Muslim.

The Middle East is on fire. An ambassador lies dead.

The economy is anemic. The fiscal cliff looms on the horizon.

The socialist barbarians are literally at the gate and need to be repelled.

IMHO, your unrelevant thread is an unnecessary distraction and as such, not helpful.

Yep. My thoughts, exactly.

We are not electing a religious leader.

We are electing a head of government.

Render a vote for Caesar when appropriate and keep it separate from your duty to God.

Read scripture. Through the ages, Jehovah has chosen flawed and sometimes ungodly men to accomplish his purposes.

Consider the possibility that He sent Obama as punishment, and shut up about Romney.

Somewhere around 6:30, he says that if you don’t have a Christian to vote for, you choose the guy who has the best foundation of truth that will support Christianity in society.

I don’t think anyone agrees that Obama is that man.

It’s clearly a matter between a Muslim and a Mormon — choose your poison.

The answer he gives: “He who would provide the strongest moral soil in which to grow Christian faith”, is useful. But in the current political reality, the real question is: “Which one loves and reveres the Constitution the most?”
The answer in 2012 is no contest. I say that because that question actually covers the moral soil for the growth of the Christian faith (which needs only benign neutrality in order to thrive).

Romney (and most Mormons) take the Constitution very seriously (even Harry Reed would, if only he knew what it says). obama HATES the Constitution. To him it is a bore and a bother. Oh, he finds the 14th Amendment and the Commerce Clause useful; but has every intention of governing entirely outside the rest of the Constitution; that is why he needs 2 more Communists on the Supreme Court; that is why he must be defeated. Otherwise, game over.

if jerry falwell could vote for a mormon, and he was a televagelist as the go, then this is not an issue.

I suspect much of this stuff is now just trolls.

Your post #12, “Romney (and most Mormons) take the Constitution very seriously”

Yes, there is a reason for that; they believe that the U.S. Constitution is as sacred as the Book of Mormon. In the latter days, it will be under siege and will be saved by Mormons. Thus, we must “reclaim America” to save the Constitution and usher in a genuine age of Mormon leadership. They want to build a Mormon kingdom on earth, similar to modern day Dominionists/Kingdom Now proponents within Christianity. Founder Joseph Smith had a socialistic philosophy and wished to have a society that shared things in common.

I really believe what he said about a moral soil is right on, rather than a political, economical or religious criteria.

The Jews don't acknowledge Jesus as the Savior, the Muslims consider Him an important prophet but not worthy to tie the bootstraps of the evil savage pedophile Mohammad and the Catholics think we need to seek out a salaried naturally flawed perhaps sexually frustrated or worse perverted bureaucrat middleman to attain His grace...

All are wrong but at least the Mormons share the better assumptions of the more correct and righteous listed above—namely that one should at least try to live as Jesus Christ did with the rest being superfluous to the all just and all merciful Almighty--meaning we will all get what we deserve regardless of doctrine dogma belief faith hunch feeling or opinion...period!.

Your post #10,
“I don’t think anyone agrees that Obama is that man.”

Yes, any THINKING man (or woman)...unfortunately, there are plenty who don’t fall into that category.
