Spider halts highway project - Lefties cheer
September 13, 2012

Posted on 09/13/2012 7:44:40 PM PDT by EveningStar

A rare spider has caused a San Antonio highway construction project to be shut down - because of the Endangered Species Act.

People on our side of the fence are properly upset. Here are a couple threads:

Blind Spider Discovery Halts Development Of Texas Highway

Rare spider found in Texas shuts down $15M million construction project

Needless to say, the neo-Marxist freaks on the other side are overjoyed. I found an article at The Huffington Post. I scrolled down to read the comments and almost threw up:

Wow.....I cannot believe that they are doing that.......It is great........
Oh, man, I can only imagine how loud those Texans are screaming right now!
If only the selfish species man could treat all creatures with such care and respect
''since construction would disrupt the spider's natural habitat, the project has been halted for the foreseeable future.''
Or until Bubba can get a rolled up newspaper.
For the sake of sanity, does San Antonio really need another ring road? It looks like a target already. Maybe instead of wasting $billions on building more highways, which will be just as congested when they are finished as the current ones are now, Texas should consider putting in some decent transit systems. You could pave over the whole state and it wouldn't make any difference to the traffic. The more roads you build the more people will get out and drive on them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA I'll stop laughing when you see anything that logical and advanced-thinking in Texas.... Mass transit is the antithesis of what the petroleum industry stands for. It will never happen.
Apparently the idea of building a road around a cave instead of over it is terrifying to the téabaggèrs.
If you want to see more comments from that HuffPo article, you'll have to Google them yourself. I can't provide the link here because HuffPo is not welcome here.

The name of that article is "Endangered Spider Discovery Stops $15 Million Texas Highway Construction Project".

They're hoping to find more. This is how insane the envirowackos have become.

I would have just stepped on the son of a bitch and moved on. Issue solved.
