The Picture That Should Cost Obama His Job (Lets Make It Happen)
PJ Media ^ | September 15, 2012 | Roger Kimball

Posted on 09/16/2012 8:36:05 AM PDT by Kaslin

Instapundit heads the piece “Why Barack Obama Should Resign.” That’s a good title. The column might also be titled, “Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid.” I remember a line from the philosopher David Hume that Hayek used as an epigraph to The Road to Serfdom. “It is seldom,” said Hume, “that liberty of any kind is lost all at once.” There’s the innocent seeming accommodation here, the turning a blind eye to official violations of the law there, and, bang, before you can say Saul Alinsky, people are being rounded up at midnight by brownshirted men for making a movie that embarrasses El Presidente.

In case you think that is a baseless exaggeration by a knuckle-dragging, right-wing hater, take a look at the photo:

By way of explication, Glenn Reynolds quotes the L.A. Times: “Just after midnight Saturday morning, authorities descended on the Cerritos home of the man believed to be the filmmaker behind the anti-Muslim movie that has sparked protests and rioting in the Muslim world.”

Got that? The chap made a movie. (He may also have violated probation, but that herring is red, Comrade.) As Glenn observes, “By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. . . . It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.”

Yep. And he should resign. And, as Glenn further observes, he surely won’t. But the people of the United States, Democrat as well as Republican, should turn him out of office ignominiously in November.

guy tells the truth and gets hammered.

The cost of truth is expensive. Graveyards are full of those who paid that price.

Apparently this guy is on parole and was ordered to stay away from computers,

Do you know what prompted that ban to limit access to computers, after all they do have computers in prisons?

I agree with you and his turban photos spoke volumes.
Just like Hillary and Jarret covering their heads w/ burkas and the look great wonder in their eyes when they were over there...TRAITORS!

A quote from Hillary “And, of course, we’re seeing the impact of technology in the Muslim world right now – as young people throughout the Middle East and North Africa find new ways to use social networking to get organized and express their aspirations.” http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2011/05/hillary-clinton-releases-video-celebrating-a-millennium-of-muslim-inventions-what-inventions/ ——

Yes.... we see how this is working out for Americans!!!

I would agree except that these are local police officers and this guy was on parole for several things.
Could possibly not have anything to do with the Feds and just California being typically stupid again.

The government always has an excuse when they go after a target to discredit and or destroy.

Government does this on a daily basis to people, multiple times per day, using television, newspapers, the Internet etc., etc.

What is unfortunate, is most people buy these concocted lies disseminated by government/media.

I don't know why he was banned from computers. Seems to me he was convicted of fraud of some sort but I could be wrong about that. I suppose some prisons have them but obviously they could prevent an inmate from using them.

Hauled in by the brownshirts for which law broken? Huh? I’m waiting... crickets. Last I heard, making such a stooopid moronic video that even a little 12 year old budding producer would be ashamed of isn’t against the law.

I faol to see how an Israeli attack would help Obama. More likely, IMHO, Soros and the Jihadis see he might lose and their time for action is now.

Parole violators, especially those of non-violent crimes, are almost never rounded up at midnight by a squad of armed brownshirts.

This was all about the movie, and not a parole violation. But I perceive you may be trying to convince yourself, more than to convince others.

Interesting. I didn’t know that. If that is the case, they’ll have to charge him or let him go pretty quick. Also I wonder how they will justify picking him up in the first place. Can you post a source for that tidbit?

“Just after midnight Saturday morning, authorities descended on the Cerritos home of the man believed to be the filmmaker behind the anti-Muslim movie that has sparked protests and rioting in the Muslim world.”

Does anyone remember Piss Christ? Piss Christ is a controversial photograph by American photographer Andres Serrano. It depicts a small plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine. The piece was a winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art's “Awards in the Visual Arts” competition, which is sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a United States Government agency that offers support and funding for artistic projects. Serrano was paid $15,000 by the U.S. government for his blasphemous “art” titled “Piss Christ.”
So why haven't authorities descended on the home of Andres Serrano yet?
