Romney's offensive gaffe could decide election (vanity)
Associated Posers | 9-18-2012 | geronl

Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney's campaign is in disarray after off-the-cuff remarks at an elementary school appearance were made public today by the Palatine Paw Print student newspaper. Democrats say this could be the end of any chance of winning the election the gaffe-ridden Romney campaign had.

"We know the sky is blue and the grass is green... and it is science that tells us how this is" Romney told the class of students.

One teacher who was present and refuses to be named said "It was shockingly inappropriate" and "If we had known he would veer into that kind of territory he would never have been invited"

"We would never allow our students to limit themselves to what really is, we want them to feel free to use their imaginations in science class just as we do in sex-ed".

Experts we spoke to say that using logic and facts in a classroom can have deleterious affects on children.

Joyce Rogers Chesterson-Smith explains "Focusing on the limitations of the so-called 'real world' at such a young age can close the minds of youth for their whole life. We want them to explore their imaginations and not limit themselves to the artificial constraints of the white male hegemony".

Principal Austin Weiner tells this reporter that since the news of Mitt Romney's comments broke he has been deluged with calls from angry parents. "They feel he has traumatized their children, and we agree of course, we always agree"

One parent who did not want to be identified said he daughter Susie locked her play date out of her room that night "It put her off sex for sure. I'm thinking of suing the school, the county, the state and Mitt Romney. My lawyer says there is millions in this"

Mitt Romney is also alleged to have said that "2+2=4" and that the students were perplexed by this.

A teacher explains "This is the kind of racist and insensitive remark we have come to expect from Republicans, but we thought he would be more reserved in front of children. We all agreed that this was the most blatantly offensive thing that has ever happened here"

The consensus is that this controversy, one of many in the Romney campaign, could finish him off for good.

Everything he says ends his chance of winning.

When he wakes up in the morning and puts his feet on the floor, that is a demonstration of his racism.

The way he combs his hair demonstrates his hatred for social justice.

Oh and that wife and her horse, don’t get me started on that!

There is only one choice in 2012.

Barack Hussein Obama, muslim.

I typed in Associated Posters and thought ‘Posers’ would be better.

Yes, I wrote this into the FR type box all off the top of my head, it wasn’t written in advance.

What Romney said was that many of the bottom 47% are takers i.e. thieves who expect others to pay for everything. I guess the truth hurts a lot of people. Romney was actually much nicer than I would have been. Which is why I would never have been nominated.

This "gaffe" will unite the remaining conservatives (except, perhaps, you) and will bring Romney's share of the GOP well over 90, without costing him a single indie vote.

It does absolutely nothing to get out the vote with the "yuts" or to assuage blacks who see Obama's anti-marriage policies as a threat, or to placate Catholics who see their religion under fire, or to pacify the now 27% (!!!) who would vote for Romney due to ZEro's hostility to Israel, or, or, or . . . . .

Win win.

Geron, it really is, although I fear I may be under exaggerating it.

We simply do not have a media any longer.

What’s going on in this country is making me root for people who...well nevermind on that.

What’s happening here is most definitely making me want to move, but I must say that I’m afraid to, because the world is on fire, and it is about to explode. I don’t know where to go or if there is anywhere to go.

I would not be surprised at all if we are in World War III before November 6.

The world, but most especially America, is being led by Evil people. We are being set up and played for the fools that we are.

Well, it was a government school, after all.

“Offensive only to those in that 47%. Not to those of us supporting them.”

Yep. It’s like that old poker saying “if you don’t know who the worst player in the game is, it’s you.”

The OWS crowd will get their diapers in an uproar over this. I think it’s the best thing he’s done so far in his campaign. This is EXACTLY what this campaign is about.

Want to be an adult and stand on your own two feet or live in Mom’s basement?

I watched the BBC News late last night and they covered the story. The analysis they featured was provided by some ditzy dame from Politico who basically said that Romney was now officially finished.Of course you'd expect nothing less from the BBC...or Politico.

I also agree with Mitt stating that the Palestinians have no interest in a two state peace with Israel... and that was not a gaff either.

And that equals plus 5! Thanks for a dose of the giggles.
