Given the overwhelming consenus ON THE LEFT that Obama was far too passive, Biden will feel the need to attack from the get-go.

Two problems with this:

Biden's a complete idiot, and when unhinged will no doubt commit several monumental gaffes. Guaranteed.

Ryan is the perfect antidote to a rabid Biden. Intelligent, informed, calm..he's going to come across as far more suitable to be the VP.

The Obama campaign has a triple whammy on its hands today.

1. How to try and salvage anything from last night's debacle.

2. How to get Obama ready for the second debate. The expectations now set on Obama may well be impossible to meet.

3. How to try and control Biden.

Of the three, the first is actually the easiest. Which just tells you how bad it is for them.

Maybe Biden will begin by calling his boss “clean and articulate” again.

I am so looking forward to the conservatives taking down another socialist idiot. Popcorn and soda is in order. I hope it will further prove to those doubters that Biden is a nut.

With most other politicians of Biden’s extremely low intellect, you'd almost be worried that Ryan could come off as being to hard on a blithering fool.

Not in Biden’s case though. He comes across like a pompous, blow-hard, bully.

This is going to be delightful!

Oh boy, I’m looking more forward to this debate than the Bear’s game this week and that’s saying a lot.

Per requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Joe Biden’s disability (an effing idiot) has to be compensated properly offset to ensure an equal outcome or better.

Therefore, Paul Ryan will have his mouth filled with marbles and a 20 lb weight shall be tied to his “man-parts” during the debate.

I believe Ryan will do very well against Biden. Joe will tell us a few sob stories about various people he has met during the campaign and Ryan will do a good job with stating fact on how the Obama-Biden policies are the reason why things in this economy are so bad.

I look to Obama being more engaged, more on the attack. The left-wing MSM will work with the administration on attack points. I’m guessing he’ll come after Romney over Bain, his 47% remark, and his record as Governor of Massachusetts. If Romney can counter these attacks with the facts and keep the focus on Obama’s failed policies, then the third debate will be desperate times for the President. He’ll need a Hail Mary of some sort just to break even.

Ryan has actually studied and thought about his proposals and has buku experience explaining/defending same to a hostile rat media.

Biden thinks he is gifted with extraordinary intelligence and trusts his mouth to talk him out of any tight spots.

Prediction: Ryan by a knockout.

He seemed tired, disinterested, acted passive”

The awesome thing about Biden is that he is high energy, very interested and active. He loves this stuff.

And that fact, together with the fact the he is a blooming idiot, will make for a great debate.

This guy will say ANYTHING! He’s awesome, and I can’t wait to see how Ryan will make mincemeat out of him when he says something outlandish. I wonder if Ryan will try to control his laughter?

The only problem with the Ryan/Biteme debate is that I don’t like to see people pick on the mentally challenged..

But this time I might just have to make an exception!

The only reason that Romney wasn’t “great” is because it takes a degree of adrenaline and an actual opponant to get fired up to the point where one is “Great”! Romney was basically talking to himself.

If it was a fight, they’d stop it.

Remember: Dan Quayle cleaned the floor with Al Gore in 1992. Even the Boston Globe admitted as much. We still got stuck with Clinton for the next eight years. Vice presidential debates mean little, but Biden is almost certain to make a fool of himself, again.

I have very high hopes for this. An articulate, passionate yet controlled, intelligent Ryan vs Joe Bidenopolis.

It almost seems like bullying to let this happen. It seems so unfair.

Not to disagree with your many premises but when many of the libs first remarks out of their mouths after saying how bad their candidate was, was to point at the good responses, body language (what they count on most of all) and grasp of facts, though they claim that Mitt's "facts" were all wrong, then I'd say Mitt had a good night.

The main thing here for me and lots of other conservatives dreaded watching last night as we are so accustomed to candidates who stumble over their words, stutter, look bored or worse yet, compliment and congratulate their liberal opponent and refuse to take the fight too them!

We were cheering and high fiving one another exclaiming, "what a breath of fresh air for a change" and how grateful we are to have a someone standing up for conservative principles and values, and I totally thought I'd lose it when Mitt turned to Jim Lerher claiming that though he liked him personally, he'd cut funds for everything that wasn't so important that "we'd borrow money from China to spend it on their program!"
