I'd like to see one member of the press corp ask Obama about this. It certainly jives with Obama's islamophilia and his pro-sharia foreign policies, and with his extensive Muslim background, as detailed in my book, The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America.
The implications of Obama's ring aside, the level of his dishonesy is breathtaking. Jerome Corsi over at WND has this blockbuster story.
Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'
He's worn it on his wedding-ring finger since before he met Michelle
Barack Obama's gold band
NEW YORK As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obamas practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues.
Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couples wedding ceremony in 1992.
Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: There is no God except Allah.
Inscription on Obama's ring
The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allahs prophet.
Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a persons rejection of all other gods
Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obamas ring at WNDs request and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it.

End of that story.
Conceptually, though, the Islamic God is different, but probably not as different as the Mormon God. Worst would be the Unitarian God, who might well not exist if you listen to them about it.
Modern archaeological digs reveal the Kaaba in Mecca to have been a Hindu Temple wherein were the symbols of a snake god.
Arabia was on a transnational trade route so that's hardly a far fetched discovery. More recently they found some marker genes from India for families living in Scotland for thousands of years (See St. Gildas if you want to discover what it's like to live as a "sky clad" Jain North of the Wall back in the good old days ~ see why he wore clothes).
Yup, men on horseback, or on foot on well traveled routes, can get anywhere they wish to go, and have been doing so for the last 4200 years pret'near. Before that it was harder and you'd need to stick to rivers and streams because it was really hard to drag those boats over dry land.
There are three major calendric models at work these days ~ the lunar, solar and siderially adjusted lunar ~ calendars. Not sure that following any one of them will tell you which church to go to ~ does anyone know?
Corsi does smart and thorough work.
Excuse my thickheadedness. I don't get your point here.
Nice theory, except that the islamic declaration of faith (shahada) literally begins with “There is no god but allah & mohammed is his messenger.”
Not to mention, christians do not have any history of using the phrase “there is no god but god.” It is unique to islam. I would bet a ton of money that NO christian anywhere and especially in the middle east, would dare to utilize the first line of the shahada, in arabic, to proudly proclaim their christianity.
Give me any evidence he (or his family!) actually ARE Christians.
They don’t celebrate Christmas. Easter. Go on a loooong vacation every Ramadan (er, August).
He goes to Chicago and “shops” for a local (black, influential ) church that will best push his agenda and future political connections.
I know that, but if he doesn't have the "and Mohammad is his messenger" it doesn't matter. And we don't know if it doesn't have that part on it. Until and unless we do, we need to drop it.
“Eastern Rite Catholics and Orthodox and other Arab Christians also refer to God as Allah and so, the first tenet of Islam is one that all Christians and Jews can agree with.”
Of course, there is no evidence Obama is an Eastern Rite Catholic, Orthodox or Arab Christian.
I don’t think the ring is dispositive. But don’t you think it’s a little odd for a man who claims to be an American Christian to wear a ring before marriage that talks about Allah and then use that as his wedding ring? Especially when his exposure to “Allah” is as part of an Indonesian Muslim family. “But I meant it as an Eastern Catholic would—not that I’ve ever had anything to do with Eastern Catholicism??”
I certainly can't do that, but if all we know is that he's wearing some ring that says there is "no God but God" we can't call him a Muslim either.
...but why in Arabic?
He lived in Indonesia which uses the Roman alphabet.
EWWWWWW, I once said I liked that ring. Of course in my defense I couldn’t see the detail of it very well. TAKING IT BACK. TAKING IT BACK.
Because he lived for several years in a Muslim country where they called God Allah. Obama could easily say that once he moved back to the West it brought him great comfort to know that his Christian and Muslim worlds were united by this basic belief. We just need to be careful and I'm going to bow out of this thread as I don't think I'm convincing anybody.

Absolutely! I don't mean to say he's not a Muslim - he may well be. I'm just saying that this ring doesn't prove anything.
Here’s a sentence I never thought I would write. Madonna was right!
One weird thing about this is that Muslims are generally forbidden to wear gold jewelry.
I thought you were a pro, Pam.
0bama is a broth’a all right.
You don't sound no ways tired.....
