That’s completely it. Part of the reason I decided to become a conservative in my formative years was my great annoyance at how libs would never allow conservatives to get their points across. That shows a real lack of faith in the strengths and merits of liberal arguments(and with good reason).

Obama has been saying his mistake was that he was “too polite.”
The odd thing is, when I watched the meter on CNN, it looked like Biden was doing better. Especially on abortion. Ryan seemed to get little to no response, or a negative response (below the zero line) when I was watching it. Maybe it was just when I looked, but it just seemed from my viewing that Biden was more popular among the undecideds.
I was almost concerned by Ryan’s seeming subdued manner, but I’m now glad that he stayed soberly serious instead of getting into a riposte contest - it was like an adult debating a clown and knowing when to just listen while the clown became a fool.
One thing my wife said, and it should be obvious, is that R/R are simply better looking guys than Zero/Plugs and yes, that has an effect on women. Go figure.
