For days, I tried to think of what his behavior reminded me of. Today I remembered.
In that old SNL skit with Chevy Chase and Jane Curtin giving the news, when Jane was talking, Chase would be a bit behind her making faces and mocking her. Biden reminded me of that.
Early on, Biden laughed about our ambassador and SEALS being killed, and laughed about Iran. When he pulled out of his ass his wife’s death (and we knew ahead of time that he’d do that; he always does), what if Ryan had rolled his eyes and smirked?
Very good, although I couldn’t stand any more about half way through. But for anyone who didn’t watch the actual debate, this certainly reveals how it went.
I think not only that Biden reveals himself to be a fool (if anyone didn’t already know that), but that Ryan reveals himself as intelligent, calm, strong, and on message. He makes his points clearly, and Biden never answers them—he just smirks. No question who won the debate, after watching this.
This may be a little long, but even if people don’t watch the whole thing, so what? Half is enough.
