The inspiring and moving story of the American heroes who lost their lives on 9-11 after disobeying orders to "stand down" and going to the aid of Americans under attack at the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
I still cannot believe that this is NOT major coast-to-coast 24 hour news across the globe. Only Fox News is talking about it.
Can you imagine the fallout if Bush were president??
btrl
It is a heroic story that will be made into a major movie. Obama and his thug gang will go down in infamy.
Show a picture of the pathetic and little Obama when the quote is given.
I could be wrong in my analysis here, but the two SEALs who departed the annex for the embassy, then went back to the annex, compromised the annex and made it a target for attack. Am I wrong about this? The annex was a large CIA operation, well over 30 people. If someone can straighten me out on this, please do. All I’m saying is that Doherty and Woods compromised their classified location the minute they headed back towards their annex from the Embassy, with attackers in tow. Does anyone know if the annex was being attacked prior to the two SEALs coming back to it? Do I have this all mixed up? You gotta admit this is a confusing sequence of events!
Only one former SEAL came from the annex, with a team of 5 or 6 Americans and 17 Libyans, to help at the main consulate. That was Ty Woods. Glen Doherty arrived at the annex later with his team of 7 others from Tripoli. The annex came under fire almost immediately after Woods’ team and the five consulate personnel he rescued got back to the annex.
The MSM is most to blame for the news blackout on the Benghazi affair.
It will all be swept under the rug and soon forgotten.
Thanks for the info. So, was the annex cover blown once Doherty returned to it.. Attackers in tow? You know what I mean? Perhaps ‘stand down’ orders could be to not compromise the annex? I wonder if the locals already knew the purpose of the annex.. Because 0bama enjoys hiring the enemy to work with us then they kill us. ARGH!
“It is better to die a hero, than live a coward”
.
That quote is totally wasted on those without a sense of honor.
Members of the present administration will merely shrug their shoulders and walk away.
Everybody in Benghazi knew about these facilities.
Furthermore, just like drug dealers in American inner cities, terrorists can get intel on what's going on at a particular property by paying kids to hang around, take pics, take videos and pass on whatever they see. Including being on the spot lookouts to scout an imminent attack or warn of reinforcements.
I would think that being in a ‘covert’ facility requires staying within the confines. Ingress/Egress in black-tinted window vehicles. Yes, eventually you get discovered but leading attackers back to the annex makes the facility a target. In the end, I think Doherty/Woods made the right decision; Save American lives. No one can begrudge them for that. Unfortunately, their chain of command cared more about Nov. 6th than Sept. 11th, 2012.
Everyone in Benghazi knew these were American facilities.
IBTZ! My first time ever.
bump
1) Hiring terrorists for 'security' at these facilities
2) The draw-down of security at the Embassy prior to 9/11 and subsequent failure to withdraw Stevens from his station due to heightened vulnerability
3) Failure to respond to Stevens'/SEALs' pleas for assistance with MILITARY ASSAULT via Specter Gunship AC130 or other weapon system/troop assault.
4) Failure to contact the Counter-terrorism Group during the attack (the group that was formed following the original 9/11 attack)
I'm sure there's more 'counts' for prosecution but this is a start.
The Emergency Meeting held about a month before the attack, had this action set up as a contingency to combine forces in case of attack. Seals were told to stand down while CIA got backup from Libyans. They were naturally impatient to roll.
Besides, It is highly likely that the terrorists knew about the CIA annex anyway-The 17th brigade and policemen used had ties to terrorists. The whole thing was likely already compromised.
