GOP Mike's Election Post Mortem - Assessing the Carnage...

To my Conservative Friends:

I sat in front of my computer last night and started this post.  I clicked on "New Post", started, stopped and started again...

I froze after just 3 words and stared into a blank wall saying to myself, "What could I possibly write?"  What do I say to everyone who, like me, had such great hopes for this election.  What do I say to the people who felt, like me, that we needed Mitt Romney to win because we sincerely felt our country, our businesses, our families so desperately needed him to win.

I realized that this article is going to be the hardest article I have ever written just minutes after 57 million people that voted for a chance at a real recovery were just kicked right in the gut.  We have been struggling for so long watching this President demonize us, divide us and push his socialist policies that we knew were like a cancer to a healthy economy...

I was stunned.  I was sad, and most importantly I was...

The “crybaby” Speaker of the House must be replaced by a conservative! He’s, already, starting to “cave” to BO on raising taxes!

Well written and expresses what I saw and how I feel about last night. I really appreciate your optimism, and I want to feel that way too. However, how will we go back after Obamacare is implemented? We had a chance to stop it, but once it is implemented, I am afraid we cannot take it back and undo the damage.

They were warned back when they anointed Mitt as the nominee. A lot found other candidates or just stayed home.

Great article. It’s hard to see our way through this but the only way we can make it is to fight even harder. Start with phone calls and letters to our congressmen telling them to fight for fiscal sanity. We need to tell them to persecute the guilty for Benghazi and stand by Israel.

The President is one man. He shouldn’t be allowed to abandon our friends and leave them to have to act alone or be nuked. We all need to be friends to Israel and let Congress know it. The House and quite a few Senators still have to face us in two years. We can make that a painful experience for them if we nip the voter fraud and stick together.

This attitude is what defeated us.

What would you have had us do? Nominate Newt or Paul?

How many people would have gone to the polls then?

I thought Michelle was by far and away the best candidate and would have overwhelmingly taken the women vote. I didn't get her, I still voted.

Unfortunately you can't always nominate the best candidate for everybody so we do the next best thing, try to please the most and then hope that candidate is at least acceptable to everybody else. If that candidate is at least better than the incumbent then you would think we would all vote for him, but no, there are crybaby's among us would just rather take their ball and wait for another game.

It sickens me.
