Because they are the true racists, Democrats would not believe that African Americans would understand the need for such a drastic policy.

Scoring points with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be far more important than the comfort of disaster victims.

Schumer will suggest finding the ones that voted Republican, and putting them in prison. There aren’t that many, and then everybody would be happy.

Sounds like the PhonyCon Liberals who attacked American Conservatives for mentioning “FEMA Prison Camps” now have a lot of egg (and other goo) on their face

We pay the bills in this country. If we don’t find the intestinal fortitude to stand UP we will be doomed.

What I don’t understand is — and yet I do — if this had happened while Bush was President, and two weeks later there were still people without electricity - and they were BLACK — there would be outrage! Not a peep! It’s just a ‘sad situation’ that local mayors are supposed to fix. Or the neighbors themselves?

And we get stories about how plucky the residents are? Here’s to them. Is it because white conservatives know how to take care of themselves? Is it just the Marxist press? How can O’s lack of involvement not open him to skewering?

It is SO not heaven down here.

Richmond County split about 49-49 Obama-Romney. I say the Omugable voters get first dibs on accommodations at the Big House.

White Middle Class victims in an old prison? What a perfect metaphor for citizens of the dependency/compliance Leviathan State.

A State that is big enough to regulate the size of your soft drinks is big enough to assign your living quarters.

Next step: appropriating the unused rooms of wealthier citizens, just like happened under Stalin, comrades! The covetous little people just love to Occupy the personal space of those who have worked hard and earned too much.

The prison sounds a heck of a lot better than "Camp Freedom" in Mammoth, NJ:

Bitter cold inside a disaster shelter

I suggest that all the rich libs in the Hamptons, allow the displaced to move in with them. I’m sure the guy that hosted Barry’s expensive campaign party in Upper Long Island has lot’s of room on his estate, and lot’s of money to help. /sarc because i know these types won’t do squat

That “deafening silence” is the sound of all the night critters in the jungle suddenly going quiet. Something evil this way comes.

It's a recently abandoned prison without any inmates so living there will be just like dorms. Heck, my first dorm was smaller than many prison cells and I had to share it.

Not ideal, but what are some people supposed to do if their homes are gone and every hotel is filled?

Hey Chris Christie - get out there and call this an outrage, because it is; maybe Staten Island will petition to leave New York and become New Jersey’s newest city. Staten Islanders have more in common culturally with suburban New Jersey than they do New York City and Staten Island is geographically just as close to New Jersey as it is New York.
