We were watching Ghost Rider II recently and the villain who rots everything he touches hilariously ate a Twinkies right after all the other food he held went to waste.
Someone that is on the inside of this told me 5 companies are in negotiations now to purchase the recipes and rights to the names.
I doubt our country will be without for long.
Little Debbies has similar items already on the shelf, like Cloud Cakes instead of calling them Twinkies.
Oh man, the suckers who are buying “the last” of the Hostess goodies now will be pretty miffed when some group of private equity guys buys those brands and has them back on the shelves by spring at the latest.
"Wow" I said, "You still have Twinkies?"
"Not for sale", says the clerk. "I have orders from the boss to pull all the Hostess stock for sale on Craig's List". He claimed the 3-pack of Twinkies was going for $8 while an unopened box of 20 was $20.
He also claimed the Hostess distributor had 18 months' worth of Twinkies sitting in their warehouse. Sell 'em fast if you got 'em, I feel a glut coming.
My wife knows a couple that foresaw the stupid people early, went to multiple stores and bought all the twinkies they could find. They sold them for 30 bucks a box on amazon, all in one day. They made over 2 grand.
I thought a Canada bakery had continued to make some of these items? Vachon Inc making Twinkies.
