Sad but true.

Right now I'm watching Tora, Tora, Tora. IMHO, this is the best movie about Pearl Harbor ever made. Should be required viewing by high school children. But I,bet no one in our fine public school systems even mentioned Pearl Harbor today. Or if they did, they somehow cast the United States as the enemy.

For all who died on that day, rest in perpetual peace.

I always remember this day, more so than any other. My Dad was a WWII Vet. I was born a few years and a few days after, so I have always kinda remembered it.

My Dad passed away on Pearl Harbor Day in 2008.

He knew what day it was. I think he just decided that it was a good day to die, and stopped the long fight to slip away from this earthly life.

I would bet that 9 out of 10 high school students, and college students for that matter, couldn’t find Pearl Harbor on a map.

Or if they did, they somehow cast the United States as the enemy.

I think they spend more time talking about the "atrocities the US committed" against Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That homer Scott Pelley said tonight on the see BS evening news that it was the anniversary of the “greatest American defeat” in history!!
When is a sneak attack a defeat? It was only the first fight.
God I hate liberal idiots!

Except for some weird, new thing coming up on the History Channel, “WWII from Space,” there is NOTHTING else playing about Pearl Harbor and the Japanese attack on December 7th, 1941.

Holy cow.

It was no defeat, because they didn't get our carriers, and that actually made it a defeat for the Japs.....and Yamamoto knew it on that day.

There are University of Hawaii students who live in Honolulu and THEY couldn’t find Pearl Harbor.
