The Only Thing Left for the Republican Party is its Obituary
Flopping Aces ^ | 12-10-12 | Michael Henkins

Posted on 12/10/2012 8:34:02 AM PST by Starman417

Despite its own insistence that it is very much alive, the Republican Party has now joined the crowd invisible. The sad pathetic truth of its demise is that those who once believed in it, and cared deeply for it, are no longer around to bury it with dignity. Its corpse has now become the dancing play thing of Washington D.C. consulting firms and lobbyist.

The most ironic fact of the Republican Party’s death is that it was not a showdown at high noon on Capitol Hill that killed it. Nor a rare exotic virus that provided the mortal blow. It was killed by something very common in society and usually not fatal in Washington D.C... It was done in by a severe allergic reaction to the truth.

There has always been one thing Conservatives, Libertarians, Tea Partyers, Constitutionalists, and Social Conservative could always agree on. We all agreed in one basic primary principle. The principle of less government and even less spending. That very basic principle was the glue that held all these factions together under the Republican Party tent. Recent events paired with a close look at the Republican Party’s actions over the course of fifteen years have now exposed that the Republican Party has been living a lie. They are not for less spending and smaller government. The foot of the Republican Party has always been just as heavy on the pedal to hurtle our great country off the financial cliff shooting out into space as the Democrat Party. The only difference is that elected Republicans have been pretending to be innocent kidnap victims of President Obama and Democrats, being forced into going along for the ride.

The current Republican Party Establishment is not the victim of the main stream media clouding their message of the benefits of spending cuts. On other issues that is surely the case, but not this one. The reason the Republican Party fails to articulate the primary virtue of less spending and small government effectively is because it does not believe in the words that are coming out of its mouth. It is a lie they are forced to say out of political necessity, not because of some deeply held belief.

The Republican Party’s primary concern for a while now has been to deliver tax payer money for lobbyists and consulting firms who represent the industries that fill the campaign war chest. Erick Erickson at RedState delved a little into the incest problem here. These consulting firms are the middle men. The paper bag carriers. The mules. The blood sucking mosquitos. They are the ones who make the promise and make sure the Republican candidate delivers. They are in fact the buffer between corporate Washington D.C. Insiders money and the Republican politician’s conscious that allows them to sleep at night thinking they are as clean and pure as a bowl full of freshly poured Clorox.

I think your quite correct, but I’d add that it may actually be best if the GOP goes away. Its a severely damaged brand as a result of the relentless labeling as racist by the MSM Propaganda outlets. The demographic shift in the U.S. mitigate against it ever recovering to the extent it could play a significant role in national politics. And, actually, as the culture/country further atomizes into special interest groups the idea of “National” parties may be going the way of the dinosaur. The whole idea of the “Big Tent” party may be over. If you take Anglo-White Conservatives out of the U.S. political equation, what’s left? A hodge podge of special interest groups competing to get to the trough; they’ll fall out soon enough and further fracture the political scene.

Amnesty for illegal immigrants will succeed in creating millions of new pro-leftist voters who will succeed in suppressing the total pro-conservative vote, for many decades to come.

“I certainly think it’s possible for the GOP to be resurrected. But only after a national collapse or at least a victory in a major offensive against the media. “

Even as I was hoping for a Romney victory, I was telling my conservative friends that should he get elected Mitt Romney would be the last Republican president of my lifetime. Demographics are a b*tch!

So why is this the case, after Bush won in 2004 and the same thing was said about the Democrat party?

After the Bush win in 2004, the Democrats did not go into a funk and form a circular firing squad. They united and fought back. The Republican Party is not dead, it is just severely divided and demoralized. At this point, it is more satisfying to make excused and find scapegoats than to accept the reality that we lost an election we could have won.

At some point the two major factions in the Republican Party will accept the reality that neither can win without the other and they will unite against the common opponent.

It’ll be a long road to restore my faith in the electoral process, period.

A party that knows the Webster’s dictionary definition of the word “treason”, and can state it publicly, would be a step in the right direction.

I'm pretty sure this isn't necessary.

They're included in the DEATH OF AMERICA!

Which was preceded by the death of the Constitution.

We can think, work and fight our way out of this mess.

“Understand yourself and understand your opponents, and in one hundred battles, you will not be defeated.”

Why is Rinse and Wash or whatever his name is, still around? He didn’t understand the Republicans or the Democrats. Has he shown any inclination to learn? Every team loses once in awhile, but failing to learn from the loss is stupid.

It would be nice to think that throwing out the moderates or forming a new party would end all of this, but it won't.

Politics is growing more ideological and more lobbyist-dominated at the same time and at the same pace.

The two trends have gone hand in hand in recent years. Why that is, I don't know.

Now the election is over and the Repubs once again got their collective a$$ handed to them, it really is indeed time to build up and promote a conservative third party. The White House won`t ever be in GOP hands againnanyway, so the risks to standing up a new party aren`t nearly as pronounced as in years past.

The GOP is dead as a nationally competitive alternative to the democrat party.

Let the Republican Party die.

As I’ve ranted elsewhere, the main reason that patriots are presently losing ground to socialists is the following imo. As much as patriots complain that Obama and RINO-controlled Congress are ignoring the Constitution, there are evidently many patriots who don’t know the Constitution either, particularly the Founding States division of federal and state government powers evidenced by the Constituton’s Section 8 of Article I, Article V and the 10th Amendment.

And when neither patriots or the feds know the Constitution then the corrupt feds are going to succeed in pushing constitutionally indefensible public policy regardless of the Republican Party.

If not, then kiss the Republican party goodbye as the political option for Americans who want less government and less spending. As long as guys like Romney pass muster, then there is absolutely ZERO point in being a Republican.

Can't you just imagine the above was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers, blather on about who to run in four years, 'starting a new party', and try to figure out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

Next time? What makes you think the massive voter fraud in this last farce of an election won't be repeated? If we don't clean up our voting system, there may not be a next time. We may not see another Republican president in our lifetime

Map from Barack Obama Voter Fraud 2012

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

>Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election.

>The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office.

>Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.

>Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

>Mitt knew it too, when he was met by several thousand in that parking garage cheering him when he arrived unannounced at that airport, and he put his hand over his heart and said, 'This is how you know you've won'.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

Massive voter fraud.

That and no other reason

Almost every major Conservative website has put out an article charging voter fraud- Breitbart, American Thinker, Atlas Shrugs, WND, The Blaze, Front Page Magazine, Fox News, The Daily Caller, Town Hall, Human Events, Canada Free Press...

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

'These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it won’t do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan: Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. See contact information below... '

'This election is not over - YET. Obama has not been elected by the Electoral College - YET. The Presidential election is being stolen from us with "Chicago Style" thuggery - and we can STOP the thieves in their tracks. But we do not have time on our side. This is our LAST chance. Don't give up. We must act now.

If massive voter fraud has occured as alleged by so many, and if the state vote counts include these FRAUDULENT votes, then is it logical to say that the entire state vote is COMPROMISED and can't be trusted? 59,000,000 Americans might agree!

The state vote is used to determine the allocation of Electors in the Electoral College which actually elects the President and Vice President.

If the vote count is FRAUDULENT, FLAWED, and CAN'T BE TRUSTED - and if the Electors have been FRAUDULENTLY allocated based on FLAWED vote counts - then WE CANNOT ALLOW THE GOVERNORS TO SIGN THEIR CERTIFICATES of ASCERTAINMENT on December 17th. We can stop this if we ACT IMMEDIATELY.

This extreme hand-wringing and despondency as WAY out of hand. We won big in 2010. We can win big in 2014. We won in Wisconsin on every election for over a year. We control more state governments that ever — gaining important ground in North Carolina and Arkansas. We’re about to get Michigan to bo “right to work” — an incredible advance. We are defeating unions on the state level in places across the land. A lot of the reason we lost was having a weak candidate with a flawed campaign. You can’t win an election if you can’t articulate your view.

Agree. I'll never live long enough for that to happen. I will also agree with Newt that whoever the socialists/commies via the elites put up for prez in 2016 will be the winner & I'll say The Hildabeast. Ergo, get on with your life & forget this phoney, fraudulent electoral process. Don't let it occupy space in your mind.

I don’t think it’s dead. There’s just a lot of dead-wood that needs to be cleared away as soon as possible, starting with Boehner and continuing on to anyone who had anything to do with promoting the candidacy of Romney. They’re all proven failures, so just get rid of them.

Next, start with the core of Republicans in the House and Senate who voted “No” on the bailout in 2008. Those are the people who can be relied upon to stick to their principles through thick and thin. Add to that everyone who got elected with Tea Party support in 2010 and 2012. They’re not proven in the same way yet, but that’s OK. Everyone else in the GOP needs to be sit on the back bench for a while, until the brand is rebuilt.
