When are we going to accept that, given the power to do so, they would exterminate us?
It doesn’t matter anymore. Eventually every petty dictator grows so paranoid that he tries to kill everyone. It’ll start with white males, TEA party members, Republicans. Then it’ll move on to Hispanics and “uppity” blacks. Then anyone remaining will be targeted.
My advice to people I care about: arm yourself (heavily), be proficient in marksmanship, have ample ammo, have an escape plan, stockpile food, learn HAM radio basics, and wait. It will come. We, as a society, are on a downswing. Every society in history has seen the upsides of success and liberty and the downsides of dependency and slavery. We, as a nation, achieved tremendous and great things for over 200 years. The downswing into tyranny is written in the histories of every great society. It’s really a matter of how precipitously occurs the fall and what those freedom-lovers among us do when the bottom has been reached.

Reagan had a mandate because he won (1) without voter fraud, and (2) by a much larger margin (17% edge in popular votes, 525:13 in electoral votes in 1984; 10% edge in popular votes, 489:49 in electoral votes in 1980). That was a mandate. Obama 2012 was much closer, and massive fraud was a factor.

Harry Belefonte has been a mental case for decades. I’m actually addressing his wildly fantasized vision of the United States and what it should be. It’s startling how out of touch with reality he is.
Obama won re-election by a few hundred thousand votes. It was not a landslide. Even if he got 95% of the popular vote, the 5% would still have a right to a voice.
If reading the Obama re-election warrants this reaction, what would the Nixon re-election have justified? Would Belefonte sign on to a purge in reverse? I wouldn’t.

I’ve been saying that to my family and friends for years now. This country is too deeply divided and getting worse every day.
The American people voted not to strengthen a capitalist system but rather to increase government control and punish the rich. So the hatred of the rich and those that support individual achievement - tea partiers - is evident.
At some point in time, calls for total confiscation and death will be common and acceptable.
