Ken Burns: Duke Lacrosse Team 'Mildly Inconvenienced' by False Rape Charges

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns understands the horrors faced by five New York City teens unfairly charged with rape back in 1989.

"The Central Park Five," the new documentary co-directed by Burns on the subject, lets the five victims recall that tumultuous time in their lives and documents just how much the false charges crushed their youth.

Yet Burns seems indifferent to another case in which three young men were unfairly accused of rape and waited 15 months to have their names cleared.

The Phoenix is well known as an ultra-left organ (BTW, it is based in Boston, not Phoenix, AZ). It's where none other than Sid ("Sid Vicious") Blumenthal (remember him from the Clinton years?) got his start in "journalism."

Burns' remarks on the Duke lacrosse players are typical of the hatred for white males often expressed in lefty MSM narratives - and in the legal process itself in many instances.

So Burns regards it as trivial that a rogue prosecutor falsely accused three innocent young men of a felony in order to advance his own political ambitions.

It is important to recognize exactly what Burns objects to about the Duke Lacrosse players. He tells us: they are (1) rich, (2) white, and (3) boys. To Burns that's their real crime, that's why it should not matter that the state came close to destroying three young lives. To Burns, rich + white + boys = scum.

It's funny how leftists often become exactly what they claim to despise. Burns is just a racist, sexist hatemonger. He's the real thing.

Since Burns himself is an aging rich white boy, you have to wonder what he sees when he looks in the mirror.

Ken Burns proves once again that he is a complete utter @$$.
A liberal lie besmirched the lacrosse players' lives, robbing them of their reputation, their time, their money, their relationship.
While Burns' Civil War series was quite good the rest of his junk has been left wing propaganda trash, including his disappointing baseball series.
The best thing that came out of Nifong's lie is how quickly the Duke faculty supported his lie.
The "Duke Gang of 88" marked themselves forever as classic leftwing acaDUMBics.
