Sandy Hook Shooting – Discrepancies (not conspiracies….. yet)

The net is flooding with conspiracy theory about this shooting. Most of them are total bunk. However there are major issues with the initial, and evolved reports; and indeed something is not passing the sniff test for me either. One website has begun collecting a list of all the discrepancies (here).

We are going to thin it down to the pertinent ones; can you think of any to add to the list? Starting with…. why the pictures of a 20 year old shooter as a child? Where’s the recent pics?

1.) According to the official story, Adam Lanza was found with his older brother’s ID, and it was not stolen. However, older brother Ryan–who officials say is very cooperative–claims not to have even seen his brother since 2010. Where would Adam get this ID?

2.) According to the official story, Adam Lanza was wearing a black outfit with a mask and bulletproof vest. Why would he want to hide his identity, and why would he wear a bulletproof vest, if he planned to kill himself?

3.) Where did he get the bulletproof vest? Guns stolen from Mom – vest too? If so, why did she need one?

4.) The medical examiner asserts that all wounds were caused by a rifle or other long weapon, and police/FBI say that the school was littered with .223 (rifle) casings. But Adam Lanza was found dead in the school with only handguns. The police stated a rifle (long gun) was found in the trunk of his car. But now claim that’s the murder weapon?

4-b) What did he kill himself with? Kinda hard to use a .223 long gun.

5.) According to the official story, the killing was tightly confined to two classrooms, near the front door and office. So why were so many children told to close their eyes while leaving the building through other exits where nothing was even close?

5-b) Why were the kids in the Gym told to cover their eyes exiting the back of the building?

6.) Why were there such persistent reports that Mrs. Lanza was a kindergarten teacher, and that she died at the school, when the new official story is that she was not connected to the school and was killed at home?

7.) What happened to the report that Adam Lanza’s girlfriend and another friend were missing in New Jersey?

8.) What happened to the woodsman in a black jacket and camo pants who was arrested and handcuffed outside the school? Seen in overhead helicopter media reporting. He actually shouted to parents, “It wasn’t me.” Who was he and what was he doing there?

My understanding is that some adults left the office, never to return. Quite possibly, they were in plain sight, as bloody corpses. I can understand an abundance of caution, in the sense of what the children were told. Thank you.

Thanks for the link. It may be him- but I don’t see ANY facial structure that even somewhat resembles the real photos we’ve seen of Adam Lanza- with or without weight gain. It would be interesting to see any other recent photos if there are any.

An interesting link nonetheless- I rarely get around to listening to conspiracy believers. I listened to most of the tape but when I started laughing I knew it was time to leave.

There may be a few or a lot of crooked cops in the world but with a crime of this nature it is unlikely IN THE EXTREME that you’ll get dozens of them to lie about the evidence and perps.

It seemed to me the narrative really started to change when Sen.Blumnethal (D-CT) said they recovered the the Bushmaster with the shooter and then Wolf Blitzer of CNN (I think) corrected him and said it was found in the trunk of the car, then Blumnethal said it was “found at the scene”.

I recall video of the police opening his trunk and taking out a long gun — but it was during daylight — not nighttime as it is here.

Weird - I can no longer view this video of the helicopter shot of the 2nd gunman running away from the police into the woods.

It showed two cops chasing a guy from the school, but now it's just a black screen.

There are always confusing stories during the heat of the moment as the media tries to scoop each other. They take the first story they hear from someone and run with it without fact checking.

This type of hysteria was kept to a minimum back when we got our news from newspapers, whose editors demanded reliable sources for the stories they ran. These days of TV and Internet insatiability, facts are in short supply.

As for number 1, he would have it for a fake ID for getting into bars.

Doesn't sound like Adam went to a bar very often.

Oh, I hadn’t heard that. Still, I was wondering how he had the time to move around and shoot each of those people 11 times. Even with 3 guns in there you would think he would have to stop and reload.

They showed some 911 calls that came in when some of the others in the school heard that over the intercom. The cops were on the way.

oh well, guess we will never know much about it.

Reading thru the list again....I noticed that the families of the victims were only allowed to ID their dead children thru photos....not physically, in person

That should raise everyones attention level...

I am sure the wonks who whine “Conspiracy Theory” will have some spin to this...but no real explanation

However, you cannot positively ID someone with a photo. That is nonsense

Not sure and no expert, but I think the Remington he had with him may have had something like a 100-round high capacity magazine—and have been all that he used, at least on the others.

I’ve read that Lanza’s father is a tax guy at GE - what could he possibly have to say about LIBOR?

GE capital has a large investment into mortgages. LIBOR is what mortgage rates are tied to.

My personal theory is that these people are being programmed to do this. Evidence: the Aurora, CO shootings. He SAID he was programmed to do it.

Yes, I know that mortgage rates are tied to LIBOR (some, at least - many in the US are tied instead to the Prime/fed funds rate), and that GE Capital has a large mortgage portfolio. But GE Capital had no role in setting LIBOR, and the only places I’ve seen GE connected to the LIBOR scandal at all are conspiracy theory sites specifically talking about Peter Lanza supposedly being set to testify. No reliable corroboration, nothing suggesting it’s actually true.
