Liberals Coming After Our Guns

The liberals are screaming for more gun control. But explain to me why in a state with one of the most stringent gun control laws in the nation the Sandy Hook massacre still happened?

Connecticut has strong gun laws that help combat the illegal gun market, prevent the sale of most guns without background checks and reduce risks to children, according to the Brady Campaign. In the organization’s 2009 state scorecards released for all 50 states, Connecticut earned 53 points out of a total of 100 and has the nation’s fourth strongest gun laws.

“Connecticut has done more than most states to combat illegal guns and has worked to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. In fact, Connecticut has a one-of-a-kind law that allows a judge to remove guns from people who have been determined to be a threat to themselves or others,” said Ron Pinciaro, President of CT Against Gun Violence.

Connecticut bans assault weapons, judges can remove guns from those who constitute a threat, they earn high marks from gun control advocates for everything from dealer regulation to backgrounds checks and they earn the maximum score for guns in public places.

But still a crazy nut got some guns. How? By stealing them. This is how criminals and nutcases get guns, either stealing the guns themselves or buying stolen guns on the street.

So here’s the challenge for gun control advocates: explain why you failed the people of Newtown. You cited Connecticut as a national example. You said its laws “reduce risks to children.” You gave no state a higher rating for keeping guns out of public places — like schools.

And a criminally insane man stole legally-owned guns (owned under Connecticut’s regime) after being denied their legal purchase, broke in through a window, and killed children and adults — adults who were not armed to shoot back, and so died unable to save the children who also died.

You want this one event to be a national test? Fine. Why are there 20 children dead when the state of Connecticut did what you said they should to keep their people safe?

The restrictive gun control laws were supposed to save those kids....but they didn't. A teacher with a gun could of but since only criminals can have guns in Connecticut that didn't happen.

So let's have that "conversation"

Oh,Hell!

I did forget about this one!

But I still remember that the Happyland fire killed almost 200 folks.

An upset Rican with a belly full of prescription drugs used a can of gas and a PAPER match to burn the dance hall down.

All were killed in the most horrible way.

Pancho is still in stir.

>Ammonium nitrate in fertilizer comes from cowsh!t.<

Actually it doesn’t.

Industrial production of high grade Ammonium nitrate fertilizer that is used in Oklahoma City style bombs is made using anhydrous ammonia gas and concentrated nitric acid.

>> Connecticut’s guns laws are very liberal compared to >> Russia’s. Actually a Saiga-12 semi-auto shotgun with a tactical pistol grip is perfectly legal to sell and own in Russia and is NOT legal in CT. The pistol grip is an "evil feature" according to CT statues that in combination with a detachable magazine makes it an "assault weapon". Saiga-12's and Saiga-410's sold in CT come with regular stock or Monte Carlo stock, but no pistol grip. Putting one on your gun aftermarket would be a felony. Saiga AK-pattern semi-auto Rifle in 7.62x39 is also illegal in CT, but is legal in Russia as a popular hunting weapon. The reason is it has interchangeable parts with AK-47. However, Saiga rifle in any other caliber (.308 or 5.45x39) are not illegal. Basically, handguns are illegal for civilians in Russia. But civilan AK-pattern rifles (the Saigas) or even AK-pattern semi-auto shotguns (Saiga-12) are not.

OK

What does it take to get permission to buy the gun.

Like many places in the US (Connecticut) do you need a permit to buy the gun?

Well excuuuuze me, I’m just a dumb pollack pig farmer from the backwash of PA, but where do we get this “anhydrous” ammonium gas?

Freeze dried (psst, to make it ‘anhydrous’) cowsh!t.

But obviously, you are a lot more informed than I am, so I’ll let it go.

Have a good night friend.

BTW, I have spread more “ammonium nitrate” on the fields of Pa, than most folks have ever seen. Used a Case 800 and a New Idea mechanical as my “weapons of choice!”

And, do you know why pig sh!t and cow sh!t are so distinctively different in odor? Just a little farm boy pop quiz.

LOL, have a happy, I’m having fun here, hope you are too.

A CT pistol permit is required to buy or carry a pistol. To get one you need to complete the mandatory NRA instructor led course, pass both the local DPS and FBI background checks and have an interview with your local PD firearms permit officer. After that it can take anywhere between 3 and 6 months.

Currently no permit is required to buy long guns, but if you already have a valid pistol permit it makes buying long guns much easier. Just fill out the papework. Otherwise there is a waiting period.

If you are interested in what it takes in Russia, here are some brief articles:

http://www.gunlab.com.ru/summary.html

If you are at least 18, have no felonies or more than 2 misdemeanors and have not been committed to a psychiatric institution, you can buy/own a semi-auto rifle or a shotgun (or a bolt-operated rifle, or a pump shotgun.) This includes AK-pattern civilian semi-auto rifles such as Saiga.

You cannot carry them outside your home (other than the range, or hunting area) if you do they must be dissassembled.

In my well spent youth I too spent my time behind the wheel of a tractor or two (Farmall 340 and Ford M to name my favorites).

The Ammonia Gas comes from petroleum.

Not to say that there isn’t a lot of ammonia in manure (lots of other nutrients as well) but if it is high concentrations of nitrogen and clean and easy application ammonium nitrate is that way to go.

Yep always fun on FR.

By the way as a farmer didn’t you always found the best manure coming out of the mouths of Democratic politicians?

The liberal answer is that if the next town/state is easier on guns then the crazies will go there. The whols country must have 0 guns.
