Most recently, Speaker of the House Boehner has made offers to the White House that already included tax hikes that surpassed what the Democrats had originally asked for- and it was turned down! Boehner then sweetened the pot by offering to suspend the debt ceiling for a year- and it was turned down as well!...

Boehner and the House leadership have betrayed American by believing that they have to meet with the president before introducing, debating or passing a piece of legislation.

The republican leadership is in cahoots with the democrats to dismantle the legislative process.

It is business as usual, the Dems make demands and the GOP leadership meet the Dems on Dems terms.

Nothing to see here, move along, move along . . .

I agree that it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell the difference between democrats and republicrats. However, I don't think there is a solution without serious term limits. They all seem to become careerists who make re-election their primary focus.

In a divided Fed Government scenario, not Weeoper should be elected that has not had a Negotiations 101 class. Boner is every bit the buffoon that the WH Clown is. See why fold say there is no difference between the D and the R parties?

With all due respect to the writer of this article, it mentions that compromise
is part of politics.
Quite frankly, decades and decades of Grand Bargains and compromising
by hacks on both sides, past and present, have brought this country to
the brink of collapse.
And it continues. Boneheads solution is to raise taxes?
Revenue isn’t the issue, spending is the issue.
These hacks are either unwilling or incapable of resolving it.
Which means the only outcome left is a collapse.
How much longer can we borrow 46 cents of every dollar we spend?
Not much longer.

It is absolutely frustrating to receive the many GOP “surveys” in the mail, all asking the most inane questions whose responses should be obvious to these congresscritters.

If, by now, the GOP does not know the answers to the questions and the mood their constituents are in, they will never understand what the problems are.

All questions are always accompanied by requests for contributions which is the whole reason for the “survey” in the first place. It is obviously nothing more but a fund raising scheme.

What a waste of paper.

There is none. There is talk but actions speak louder. They all are whores owned by the elites. The biggest mistake is going to a voting booth & giving them some type of legitimacy.

“I don’t think there is a solution without serious term limits.”

I agree - not in today’s America.

Are you beginning to understand why some folk post that there is no difference between the D and the R? Until now, I have never believed that, but I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the NRA and the R party to willingly accept a shredding of the 2nd Amendment in January - QUAKING IN THIER BOOTS OVER WHAT THE MEDIA IS DOING TO ARMS SELLERS, MANUFACTURERS, AND SOON WHAT THEY WILL DO O THE R PARTY ON 2ND AMENDEMENT.

ANYONE DOUBT THE ENEMY WITHIN IS THE MEDIA?

Here’s the big question ... will Conservatives fall in line and do their usual “”at least he/she is better than Obama/etc”. Sadly, they probably will and the GOP knows they will.

It ain’t gonna change. Complaining means nothing. Ya gotta do something.

In the beltway republicans and democrats are like Coke and Pepsi. They have different advertising approaches, but it's hard to tell the difference in a blind taste test.

Although the campaign against each other during elections, they are happy with their share of the market and they will work together to keep Dr. Pepper (the Tea Party) out of their club.
