The democrats are going hell bent for leather to pass a gun control bill in the next three weeks. If you are counting on the republicans to stop it, you are going to be extremely disappointed. The GOP is going to split -- and a larger than expected portion of them WILL support the Assault Weapons Ban pushed by the democrats. It is my sense, at this writing, that THE ASSAULT WEAPON BAN WILL PASS CONGRESS and be signed into law by Obama later this month or early in February.

I can only ask that you forgive my frustration. You see, I am having difficulty grasping the fact that my fellow Americans are going to lie down, whimpering, as the bullies of the political left just run right over them.

Would not be too hard to find out where the gun takers are storing weapons, heck maybe Google will show you an overhead shot of your local arms depository, could be a National Guard warehouse.
Could be at a local sheriffs firing range.

There is no one to save us in Government and I also think that Congress will do some kind of magazine ban.

This ignores the fact that if there are 5 guys robbing my house, kicking my cat, and raping my wife, I may need more than the mystical 3 bullets that Bloomberg says is the maximum I should have.

Still, make the calls and join Federal-level lobbying groups. I’m not giving up yet.

Yes, but unless the constitution has changed, there is the little matter of the House. I have been calling the office of my Representatives and the Republican leadership and have been told flat out "There is no Assault Weapons Ban. Period." No bill has been introduced. No debate is scheduled, nothing is on the calender, and its is not part the Republican leaderships agenda". (I was actually told by Representative Capito's office "They aren't going to touch the AWB with a ten foot poll.") There has not even been a bill introduced into the committee process (Pelosi introduced one right after the Sandy Hook Shooting, but it died in committee with the Republican Chairman taking no action or even scheduling debate, at the end of the last congress.)

Now I'm certainly not saying concern isn't warranted, and we shouldn't be calling our reps and keeping the pressure up (like I said I've been burning up the phone lines myself). But saying some nonexistent Assault Weapons Ban is not only imminent, but is virtually assured of passage is nothing but hyperbole, unless somebody can provide some evidence to the contrary, I don't see the Republican leadership ever even letting such a bill get out of the committee process.

Me too. I live in New York State and Cuomo is considering confiscation of "scary looking" guns! I've felt uneasy about this since Sandy Hook as I knew the tyrants would shamelessly exploit that tragedy, and they are.

I do believe its time for Americans to have equal access to nearly the same type of weapons our military has, practical weaponry, I don’t have the room in my lake for the Missouri or the Enterprise.

Obama is more than likely orchestrating similar Journal gun owners addresses all across America, I believe I just heard another newspaper in Colorado is doing the same thing.

If so its a clever strategy, get the gun grabbers in a mass frenzy and supply them with confidence through the MSM and they will become the lynch mobs.And if they are in any danger then the SWAT teams will be there to do their WACO thing against any barricaded home owners, imagine tanks with flame throwers snipers aiming at your retriever, drones overhead showing you by FLIR camera.

Every year 100,000+ people turn up to protest abortion, and have since 1970. There is no number of people that will impress them, sadly. But it still might be worth doing.

When the Tea Party put 1 million people on the Mall the MSM lied like dogs about how many people were there. So there is that to consider, too.

Over at Western Rifle Shooters Association web site there was discussion of an armed march on Washington and/or New York. After some discussion I think people felt that it was better to do such things at the state level, and I think some are being organized.

Unfortunately, they happen to be all we have to work with (other than a very few Dems in gun-loving country who can probably also be "convinced" (i.e. coerced) to vote against any such legislation). Better to prevent the passage of such legislation than to be forced into the "Lexington-Concord" situation.

Well then it is happening elsewhere then. Gun shows are having their permits revoked. Any advertising on the web is being cut off. many firearm forums I visit are being flooded with offers to buy and those actually selling.

And soon those will be targeted by the progressive Obama regime.

I don’t think “primarying” them is a useful program. This will be decided well before next primary season. This guy has will make his move soon.

I would actually be a far more deadlier person armed with nothing but rage and intent and most importantly beliefs.

For i would not fear death to achieve a hammer, a piece of rebar, a vehicle, a roadblock and on it goes.

Those that decry no initiative when empty of arms deserves no charity.For they will not retain any patriotic beliefs and will only follow the price of gold from another man.
