I’m not sure the AWB can be passed at the fed level, but you can prolly count on a hi-cap mag ban and maybe some other tinkering. You are right......... the repubbies aren’t going to save us.

I completely agree with the sentiments expressed here. There needs to be organization rather than individual efforts while Chris Matthews and the corrupt MSM slander gun owners.

Where is the NRA? Yes, they had their dog and pony show, but how about organizing people and events? Isn’t that what they are supposed to be doing, or do they simply think they can continue to lobby behind the scenes this time?

They control the banking system

You've got it backwards. The banking system controls everything. It is global, and it is feudal in nature. (fascist lite) It is the reason that Roberts indentured you and I to private insurance companies in which the banks are heavily invested. They own the media, too. It is the reason that Conservatives, even on FOX, are lambasted.

The global banksters have all the tools they need to hypothecate all of humanity. They have used the promise of socialism to sway the ignorant to the cause of destroying freedom, and they are using islam as a means of spreading fascist concepts and enforcement of same at the individual level.

In the meantime they have kept the little indians fighting amongst themselves. Republican, Democrat, makes no difference - they all work for the banksters, and the banksters are telling them to disarm the American people, trash the Constitution, and ensure that everybody is a debtor/serf who can then be easily controlled or eliminated.

write your congressmen and women and let them know how you feel about all this talk of gun control. If they don’t listen, we primary their sorry asses. They know we can do it because we have done it and they know we’re angry enough to do it again. Firearms owners have a lot to do with why Republicans have ANY power in Washington to begin with and if they need to be reminded of that, we can do that. We have done it before.

At the beginning of the 21st Century, the American people are about to learn the savage lesson of Communist Revolution that the Russian people experienced at the beginning of the last century. Millions died in Russia’s Communist “experiment” before they learned that Communism doesn’t work, as the concept of Communism (“You didn’t make that”) is completely alien to basic human nature. Now it’s our turn to learn what Russia after a century of misery now knows.

The NRA is just lawyers, now.

They WANT this kind of carp to happen. They clean-up in donations when there are lawsuits to file.

If they were what they were supposed to be, there would be national ad campaigns of “This gun saved my life!” to counter the hysteria.

"You are right......... the repubbies aren’t going to save us."

They will if they want to stay in office, and that fact is made plain to them. It is up to US to keep their feet to the fire to be sure they vote accordingly. ANY Republican who votes for any sort of "ban" relating to firearms should be "primaried" by a gun rights candidate.

THE ASSAULT WEAPON BAN WILL PASS CONGRESS and be signed into law by Obama later this month or early in February.

That would be difficult considering Harry Reid Adjourned the Senate yesterday and said he doesn't plan to even call it back into session until the last week in January...

How long is needed to read a bill? 5 Minutes, if that? Whether it's 1 page or 10,000 pages, 5 minutes TOPS to read the bill.

***I’m not sure the AWB can be passed at the fed level,***

Oh yes it can! Look at the 1968 Gun Control Act and Clinton’s AW ban. How did they pass?

The bills gave HUGE AMOUNTS of money (pork) to the states for “crime control”. John Dingell even abandoned his position on the NRA Board of Directors to vote for Clinton’s travesty.

Basically, the bills were loaded with BRIBES in order to get them passed.

Do you know that American Citizens were always better armed than the US Army up until 1932?

Would not be too hard to find out where the gun takers are storing weapons, heck maybe Google will show you an overhead shot of your local arms depository, could be a National Guard warehouse.
Could be at a local sheriffs firing range.

There is no one to save us in Government and I also think that Congress will do some kind of magazine ban.

This ignores the fact that if there are 5 guys robbing my house, kicking my cat, and raping my wife, I may need more than the mystical 3 bullets that Bloomberg says is the maximum I should have.

Still, make the calls and join Federal-level lobbying groups. I’m not giving up yet.

It’s LONG past time for the NRA to organize a massive - MASSIVE - march on Washington DC. Do it, NRA.

Yes, but unless the constitution has changed, there is the little matter of the House. I have been calling the office of my Representatives and the Republican leadership and have been told flat out "There is no Assault Weapons Ban. Period." No bill has been introduced. No debate is scheduled, nothing is on the calender, and its is not part the Republican leaderships agenda". (I was actually told by Representative Capito's office "They aren't going to touch the AWB with a ten foot poll.") There has not even been a bill introduced into the committee process (Pelosi introduced one right after the Sandy Hook Shooting, but it died in committee with the Republican Chairman taking no action or even scheduling debate, at the end of the last congress.)

Now I'm certainly not saying concern isn't warranted, and we shouldn't be calling our reps and keeping the pressure up (like I said I've been burning up the phone lines myself). But saying some nonexistent Assault Weapons Ban is not only imminent, but is virtually assured of passage is nothing but hyperbole, unless somebody can provide some evidence to the contrary, I don't see the Republican leadership ever even letting such a bill get out of the committee process.

MachIV: I honestly lose sleep over this.

Me too. I live in New York State and Cuomo is considering confiscation of "scary looking" guns! I've felt uneasy about this since Sandy Hook as I knew the tyrants would shamelessly exploit that tragedy, and they are.

Biggirl: We are closer to a second American civil war.

I believe so too, time to draw the line in the sand. I'm a veteran and took an oath to defend the Constitution and I'm hoping my fellow veterans step up and refuse to comply with the tyrants!

I do believe its time for Americans to have equal access to nearly the same type of weapons our military has, practical weaponry, I don’t have the room in my lake for the Missouri or the Enterprise.

Remove full auto restrictions.

It will happen anyway, even as this is being typed many are 3-D printing castable metal plugs of 3 shot Burst Conversion kits for the AR platform, full auto as well.

Obama is more than likely orchestrating similar Journal gun owners addresses all across America, I believe I just heard another newspaper in Colorado is doing the same thing.

If so its a clever strategy, get the gun grabbers in a mass frenzy and supply them with confidence through the MSM and they will become the lynch mobs. And if they are in any danger then the SWAT teams will be there to do their WACO thing against any barricaded home owners, imagine tanks with flame throwers snipers aiming at your retriever, drones overhead showing you by FLIR camera.

"It’s LONG past time for the NRA to organize a massive - MASSIVE - march on Washington DC. Do it, NRA."

Every year 100,000+ people turn up to protest abortion, and have since 1970. There is no number of people that will impress them, sadly. But it still might be worth doing.

When the Tea Party put 1 million people on the Mall the MSM lied like dogs about how many people were there. So there is that to consider, too.

Over at Western Rifle Shooters Association web site there was discussion of an armed march on Washington and/or New York. After some discussion I think people felt that it was better to do such things at the state level, and I think some are being organized.

Unfortunately, they happen to be all we have to work with (other than a very few Dems in gun-loving country who can probably also be "convinced" (i.e. coerced) to vote against any such legislation). Better to prevent the passage of such legislation than to be forced into the "Lexington-Concord" situation.

Highly unlikely as Colorado is not a 'permit' state except for CCW.

The Denver Compost would surely do it, don't misunderstand, it's just that there is no central data bank to pull the names from.

4473 forms are kept by individual businesses, so until the business closes, even the BATFE has no specific file.

Well then it is happening elsewhere then. Gun shows are having their permits revoked. Any advertising on the web is being cut off. many firearm forums I visit are being flooded with offers to buy and those actually selling.

And soon those will be targeted by the progressive Obama regime.

Many are thinking the same, they are the ones too late for the train and are being left at the station. Noah saw the same in history past.

I would actually be a far more deadlier person armed with nothing but rage and intent and most importantly beliefs.

For i would not fear death to achieve a hammer, a piece of rebar, a vehicle, a roadblock and on it goes.

Those that decry no initiative when empty of arms deserves no charity. For they will not retain any patriotic beliefs and will only follow the price of gold from another man.

My home-town newspaper is an affiliate of Gannett, the same company that owns the Journal News, and they're all big-time lefties. I don't know if you heard, but a Second Amendment rights group published the home addresses of key Journal reporters and editors who were responsible for publishing the names and addresses of pistol permit holders:

Group claims hacked subscriber database of NY newspaper which published gun permit map

If the Democrat and Chronicle tries to do the same thing, they're going to get the same treatment and the names and addresses of editors and staff will be published widely to a number of local Rochester blogs.

I think were on the same page there, there is certainly reason for concern. But concern is one thing, irrational negativity is another. I'm just getting sick of seeing these posts that "It time to run for the hills! It's all over! The Assault Weapons Ban is a done deal, Obama's is going to get everything he wants, he's going to use his mind control device to force the Republican House to craft the bill and pass it by next week." I'm really glad some of these people weren't around during the Revolutionary War or they would have been declaring the cause lost before King George's ships even left Britain.
