Great post.
The lines are clear to me.
I will never comply with registration, prohibitions on private transfer, or any other law that is repugnant to the Constitution or any of my God given rights.
But let’s be clear.
When the government starts this it is going to be ugly, quickly escalated, and we won’t have an independent media (basically the same as now) or any communication capacity.
They will get the low hanging fruit first then slowly make their way across more challenging territory.
DHS is armed up for a reason.
Live free or die. It’s not easy but it’s simple.
But to die in Christ is gain, so I will have no fear.

western maryland is very, very interesting...MSP has a task force operating out of central Maryland with a pet judge issuing SW's five counties away...

seems MD changed the definition of what prohibits possession and this group is cross-referencing hunting license applications to criminal histories

seems that people that have been legally purchasing hunting licenses and firearms for 15-20 years are being rolled up and charged with a new felony statute for possession of weapons that were not illegal to possess a year ago (and had their purchases approved by MSP)

local LE and prosecutors won't touch these cases...but no one is contacting the media or raising a stink because the media in MD is in the bag for gun control and no one out here wants to call fire down on their own position right now

I'm going to need E&E assistance before all this goes down (and I'm 100% sure it's coming) as I'm pretty sure that my prior purchases have me in all sorts of databases

Let’s look at another foreign country for a positive perspective on gun ownership. Although surrounded by sometimes hostile neighbors, Switzerland has maintained neutrality for centuries. It is an armed neutrality: nearly every adult Swiss male serves a short period of active military duty and thereafter is a member of the home guard militia. The inactive reservist keeps his military-issued fully automatic battle rifle at home, with plenty of ammunition and magazines, for the rest of his life. If Switzerland were ever invaded, the invaders would immediately find themselves taking accurate fire from many directions. Beyond personal rifles kept at home, field artillery, heavy machine guns and other crew-served weapons were hidden in disguised barns and other public and private buildings across the countryside, among the very citizen-soldiers who would man and fire them.

Old rumors support that Crusaders of the Middle Ages - not welcomed back by their home countries - moved en masse to Switzerland. It would explain the extreme common sense they've shown over the years...

I believe Obama wants this war, as a crisis he can use to accelerate the creation of an all out police state. We are thinking nationally. He is thinking globally. It is an error to underestimate him.

For example, I can envision a scenario where he understands how gun owners will react to confiscation laws, and how local law enforcement will become spotty at best, utterly absent at worst. This is, I think, by design, and would be used to justify bringing in “outside help.” Many of our fellow Americans will believe this is a good thing, and this would be why the propaganda wing is systematically isolating the scapegoat, to deny us the aid we would otherwise have from our neighbors in that moment of calculated crisis. It is a sophisticated divide and conquer strategy.

I have no immediate insights on how best to cope with such a strategy, beyond working now to prevent the progression to the point of no return. Open conversation with the potential enforcers of these forthcoming illegal laws is a good start. But the plan must account for the whole enchilada, and honestly I’m not sure what that entails. I do know this. If we trust our guns alone, God may well let us fail. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord.

These are interesting times and I hope they don’t get too much more interesting.

I remember when the assault weapons ban first passed. There was a lot of anger and a lot of panic buying but this is something else.

There is something in the air which I have not noticed before. People are really serious now. I still have no idea what the final outcome will be but it seems there is a clash between two forces heading for a collision.

Now that I think about it, it has happened many times before in history and often with tragic consequences.
