COLIN POWELL: WAS HARRY BELAFONTE RIGHT?

Posted on 01/14/2013 9:54:38 PM PST by DIRTYSECRET

It's getting bad. Powell owes the gop big time and he stabs us in the back too often. Maybe he never was that good(qualified) to begin with-affirmative action perhaps? He's really getting angry in his old age. Can u see any similarities with Harry?

To think, I wanted him to run, at one time.

I’m guessing he didn’t because his whole act was a facade and he needed to remove the mask.

Say it loud and proud bruthuh Powell!!!!

There is a black man who became a Republican Senator, so the Democrat plantation black got kicked in the shin to go out and spread the racist bullcrap against Republicans.

I give Powell SOME credit. He's never praised Commie dictators like Chavez and Castro, as Belafonte has.

BTW, how is Harry Belafonte so rich? I mean Day-O was a LONG time ago. I can't imagine the royalties are THAT lucrative.

I remember exactly when you wanted him to run. It’s when he proudly declared ‘I am a Republican’-Kept the truth about him under the rug for 18 years. This was when he wouldn’t run for prez but ‘flirted’ with the idea. Alma put the khabossh on it-afraid he’d get shot-a statement saying that this country is not good enough for him. I just wish an ELECTED Republican would point it out-not Rush.

Do you suppose Powell has had a stroke? He didn’t used to be all focused on race.

A lot of blacks are terribly ashamed and embarrassed by what a disaster 0bama has turned out to be, but they won’t admit it. Some can’t even face it at all, so they fall back on blaming the white man. This is where Powell is and, I think, where Juan Williams is. They are so racially focused they are unable to mentally separate 0bama’s failure from their own identities, so they blame whitey. Meanwhile the Democrats applaud them for doing it, so why not take the easy way out? Honesty is hard for some people these days.

S.C. Gov. Haley appoints Rep. Tim Scott to U.S. Senate

Scott, a tea party star, will become the first black Southern senator since the late 1800s.

Colin Powell, what a gentleman. Nothing says honor and dignity like calling your Prom date a slut after you have had your fun.

Bravo! You will fit right in with the Democrats.

What a disgrace Powell has become. If anything could have surpassed his cowardice in the Scooter Libby affair, the last 5 years have been even worse.

Had he run in 1996, he'd have smoked Dole in the primaries and Billy Jeff in November. He probably would have been a lousy Prez. overall, but imagine the benefits: less opposition to Newt's agenda, no Lewinsky, US possibly taking out Bin Laden in 1998 or 1999 when he was weak, and no credible political advancement for the Hilldebeast and Obambi.

Colin Powell: National Security Advisor to Ronald Reagan
Joint Chiefs of Staff under George H.W. Bush
Secretary of State George W. Bush

This poor man has been so abused by the Republicans. I cannot find the words.
