You can keep your guns. But, you will pay dearly and eventually have them confiscated anyway

Keep them, but pay dearly

You can keep your guns alright, but you're going to pay dearly for the privilege, end up marked and have them confiscated later anyway. A lot of folks don't want to hear that, but gun owners are being manipulated into a corner.

The powers that be who want us disarmed in order to control dissent want the guns, but must do so incrementally and make a large sum of money in the process. It's like being a smoker, you want 'em and they make you pay. He will issue executive orders, every one of which is going to cost gun owners dearly. Registration, licensing, short-term licensing requiring frequent renewal with ever-increasing licensing cost (already signed into law in New York by Cuomo). They will know where they are and take your money while you hold them and keep them in pristine condition for the day the government decides they have enough support to step in and take them. And, that's only the beginning.

Many of the executive orders and subsequent laws will make it very easy to violate one of those laws which will involve lawyers. This is a class of society to which the vast majority of Congressmen belong and from which many get their funds to run for Congress (i.e. guys like Mostyn). They WANT you to keep the guns, because they are going to be like leeches sucking you financially dry in the process.

Should the United States ever get some men and women of moral foundation (that IS the ultimate problem) into office, then articles of impeachment must be presented against Obama for all of this is a violation of the original 2nd Amendment and its intent. Stockman of Texas is right on in his assessment that if Obama and the Democrats continue, the violation of law must be called into question.

When I ask Mexicans why they do not go back to Mexico and revolt and clean up their governmental problems, the answer is quick and short, "The government will kill us." Very soon, we are going to be in the same predicament. The government is already aiding and abetting crime (Fast and Furious and welfare fraud) and does not want ANY dissent about its corrupt practices. It will all get a lot worse before it gets any better.

Ultimately, the entire question on every issue, be it abortion, guns, "cling to religion", etc., ad nauseum is that the United States has turned away from God and then has allowed immigration of millions from many different countries who do NOT follow what God teaches (even though some profess to be followers of God. The Bible addresses all of this and the consequences and you can go there to read the end of this story.

That is may summation. All that is left is the suffering of persecution by the few righteous who are left.

This is exactly how it will happen. It will be such a gradual process that most wont notice, until it is too late.

My guess is it will go back and forth for decades...lotsa money to be made by politicians on this issue.

Lots of nervous nellies around here are dying a thousand deaths because of their fear of what might happen, though.

It will depend, partly, on how fast he can convince the Supreme Justices to retire. If he can get two, it may be over, because who are you going to appeal to?

“lotsa money to be made by politicians on this issue.”

Good observation and I would add lawyers to that as well.

Actually I think this is driven by lawyers - it makes no sense otherwise. Even the optics are stupid, particularly if there is one more shooting this year all of these people who “fixed” the problem will look silly.

Of course it will.

Like cars...How in hell did they get Americans to pay to re-register the same damn vehicles over and over and over and over and over instead of only when they change ownership?

What an epic, coast to coast government conjob.

Guns? What guns?
I lost all my weapons in a tragic boating accident on Crater Lake. ;^(

Yes, per the 2nd, you are right. However, government is turning it into a privilege. Thus, the post was written the way it was written. What is happening is clearly a violation of the 2nd Amendment. So, when is anyone in leadership going to step up and DO something about it? Crickets chirping....

Funny thing about lost weapons. Ben Frankin indicated to the british that the same would happen in 1766.

Q. Can anything less than a military force carry the Stamp Act into execution?

A. I do not see how a military force can be applied to that purpose.

Q. Why may it not?

A. Suppose a military force sent into America; they will find nobody in arms; what are they then to do? They cannot force a man to take stamps who chooses to do without them. They will not find a rebellion; they may indeed make one.

I don't think We The People need anyone in a “Leadership position” to do or say anything.

We are the People. It is Our Constitution.

The three branches of government serve at Our Pleasure. That is all we need to Remember and to stand by.

So, when is anyone in leadership going to step up and DO something about it?

So, when did free men require a leader to do anything?

Just don't comply. It's pretty easy. Millions of criminals already ignore those laws.

Infringe: (transitive and intransitive verb) encroach on somebody's rights or property: to take over land, rights, privileges, or activities that belong to somebody else, especially in a minor or gradual way

If that %$#@ John Roberts doesn't have a Websters Dictionary I can send him one.
