Video: NRA's 'Stand and Fight,' targets Malia and Sasha Obama (Uh, no it doesn't)

The NRA released on Tuesday an ad that accuses Obama of being an "elitist hypocrite," because he provides armed protection for his children but insists that the nation's schools remain "gun-free zones."

The video is part of the NRA's offensive dubbed "Stand and fight," in response to its anticipation of Obama's announcement of stricter gun control measures. According to Boston.com, the 35-second video posted to YouTube by user HotWeirdNews, also appeared on the NRA's website on Tuesday. However, the video was removed from the NRA's website by Wednesday morning. The ad begins with a shot of a school, the American flag and a voice-over, saying "Are the president's kids more important than yours?" The narrator continues: "Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their schools?" The ad then shows images featuring President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Senator Dianne Feinstein, while the narrator says: "Mr Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes. But he's just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security." It ends with the argument that the "elitist hypocrites" (aka Obama, Biden, Bloomberg and Feinstein) are providing "protection for their kids, but gun-free zones for ours." Media reactions Boston.com reports that the White House has responded to the NRA video, describing it as "repugnant and cowardly." The majority of comments on YouTube are critical of the ad, pointing out that Malia and Sasha, being children of the president, are vulnerable....

The Obamas use their own kids all the time, in speeches and even campaign ads. So the libs can shove it. They have constantly used their daughters to further their own points and propaganda.

Good rant! Couldn’t have said it better.
Look, people. There is a whole contingent out there who are gonna give gunowners AND the NRA grief. Consider the source/s. You have the leftists who just hate everything and everyone that dares to want to breathe free air. THEY want to control you.
You have slum dwellers who mostly HAVE illegal guns who will insult you unto eternity just because they don’t like you...and might even shoot you for the same reason.
And there are the illegals who ALSO have guns that are illegal, but SOME of them can read so they will insult you as well as kill you.
Any of them will sell you drugs. Many of them think rape is a right. Many of them think they have a right to what YOU own and will rob you to get it...with or without a gun.
NONE of them will be affected by what obama did today or any gun laws that might come down the pike tomorrow. Haters gonna hate. Bad guys gonna be bad.
I will do whatever it takes to see that not a damn one of them messes with my life or my child’s life and if that is in any way misunderstood, try me.
Anyone here think obama’s kids are better than mine? Than YOURS?
Nope. Didn’t think so.

Political polling is nothing more than propaganda. It’s very easy to manipulate polling to get the results a pollster wants. Most Freepers know that quite well.

"Repugnant and cowardly?"
Why that’s a perfect description of our Kenyan in chief, now isn’t it?
It’s also, by no coincidence, a perfect description of the “Wolf!” crying industry that is wire service journalism, known under the alias “mainstream media.” Just as “To a hammer, everything looks like a nail,” to a reporter every sheep looks like a wolf. In fact, calling journalism "the ‘Wolf!" crying industry” understates the case, because of journalism’s “‘Man Bites Dog,’ not ‘Dog Bites Man’” rule, which expresses journalism's preference for the unusual/atypical.

Under that principle, journalism would rather decry a “wolf” which is apparently actually a sheep than to report the presence of a an actual menace. A phenomenon which is on full display in the persecution of George Zimmerman, as it was in the case of the transparent Duke Lacrosse “rape” hoax. Even as, today, the “evil” we are told to hate are the hundreds of millions of insurance policies against violence known as privately owned guns.

And then we wonder why journalists are “in the pocket of” Democrats - for them both, every tragic aspect of the human condition is a “problem” to be “solved” by a Gordian knot cutting “solution” portending worse misery than the original complaint. Democrats have no principle other than going along and getting along journalists. "Surprise, surprise,” journalists promote Democrats and give them positive labels - they started calling Democrats “liberal” in the 1920s, when “liberal” was what all traditional Americans understood themselves to be - and what socialists will never be. Before that, socialists were called “progressive,” because progress of, by, and for the American people is the pride of the success of “the American experiment.” Journalists also call socialists “moderate” or “centrist,” too - and moderation is classical virtue.

It’s why “liberalism” is, as Rush puts it, “a gutless choice.” Repugnant and cowardly.

You’re the one who needs to check the polls again. There have been two polls showing a majority (51%) oppose an assault weapons ban, with like 44% supporting. This was after Newtown. The AP poll is rigged with the addition of “military-style” in their question.

Further, Gallup in late December 2012 showed a record percentage of Americans (74%) opposed to a ban on handguns.

I watched the ad. It wasn't stupid at all and there was nothing wrong in the way it pointed out David Gregory and BO’s hypocrisy. BO’s kid's school had 11 armed guards before they started going there with their secret service.

Once again, doesn’t matter what you or I think. How is it playing with the country? Did it help or hurt the NRA brand? Watch the polling numbers over next two weeks and you will have your answer.

The elitist left is outraged.

The elitist right isn't terribly happy, either...

I’d say stay away from his kids. I can see Obama getting on his pedestal and saying how dare they bring his children into this issue and the public will side with him and winning it in the public’s eyes on emotion alone.. I’d say the NRA would do better to focus on historical events with tyrants that uasarmed their citizens and the end results. Just my thoughts.

I don't need to watch the rigged polls. I'm watching the sales of guns and ammo at gun shows, gun shops and on line. I work with the public and I know how this is playing in world of the ‘common people’. Oh, and it DOES matter what I think.

The ad didn’t focus on his kids. It focused on HIS HYPOCRICY.

“He attacks my kids 6 ways from sunday, and im supposed to get a case of the fainting vapors over the truth being told about his?”

Excellent point. Besides this safety issue, your kids, and your kids’ kids, will be paying (literally) for Hussein’s actions throughout their entire lives.

“The ad pisses off the right people, so good job.”

That’s what I think, too. If a short statement about his kids having more value than other people’s kids will make a few people sit up and take notice, then good!

No. The ad was correct. Hypocrisy is hypocrisy. - If you DARE criticize this President, or any of his henchmen; you are going to get “beat up” by a fawning mainstream media. A media that has become just a useful tool for the Democrat Party. - Meantime, the Tea Party, the NRA, and anyone else who challenges King Obama will dutifully be “targeted” and “ridiculed” by the MSM until they “go away”. . and I’m no NRA person. I shoot like you’d imagine a “Twinkie” shooting; mostly hitting my own foot!
