NewsBusters reported Wednesday that CBS's Bob Schieffer compared President Obama taking on the gun lobby to America defeating the Nazis in World War II.

Hours later, conservative talk radio host Mark Levin took on this nonsense calling Schieffer "a Potemkin journalist, a phony" who behaves like a "propagandist" and an Obama "cheerleader" (transcribed highlights follow, audio available at Right Scoop):

MARK LEVIN: You should hear the media today. It’s pathetic. If we were talking about the first amendment as I’ve said repeatedly, they’d be going nuts about a dictator. I heard Schieffer ‘go off’ on Bush once .... it was nasty, it was spiteful, it was personal, the venom was dripping and to this day, if he comes on, the channel changes or the TV goes off. Schieffer has no claim whatsoever to being called a “journalist”. He’s a Leftist character assassinator .... what they try to do to all decent conservatives to make them totally unpalatable and unelectable... rip them to shreds personally to destroy them with nothing off limits. Regardless of Bush’s shortcomings, he as a human being, a decent man (as opposed to Obama who is not even marginally decent) trying to do a difficult job, in no way deserved Schieffer’s venomous, personal ‘shredding’.

90% of conservative and republican messages sound like a grumpy uncle at Thanksgiving. Take a look at Howard Cosell getting fired for saying someoen ran like " a little mokey." and then pass that along to Todd Akin or Mark Levin - they shout stuff most people roll their eyes at, not because the "concept " is not accurate, but because the delivery and the solutions sound like "bad medicine."

Want to win over the "low inforamtion" voter and person that gets polled everyday? Try a new system, start every idea about more government with this "At 3% interest the cost of borrowing 1 trillion dollars each year is more than the moeny we spend on education department. Children are hurt by more government. It is time to make government the right size, not trying to make government do everything."
