If you did not already know that the President has no grasp of history, no knowledge of what he is saying, this should help confirm it.
According to the transcript released by the White House, President Obama channeled Neville Chamberlain, using the phrase "peace in our time" to tout his reelection.
The President explained (emphasis mine):
We will support democracy from Asia to Africa, from the Americas to the Middle East, because our interests and our conscience compel us to act on behalf of those who long for freedom. And we must be a source of hope to the poor, the sick, the marginalized, the victims of prejudice. Not out of mere charity, but because peace in our time requires the constant advance of those principles that our common creed describes.
As you certainly remember, the short-sighted Prime Minister of Great Britain, Neville Chamberlain promised the very same thing, just a single year before the most destructive war in history ripped Europe to sunders.

I agree. I just pray for all those people living in large cities in this country because they will be the targets of the next attack and it will not be on skyscrapers this time. It will be monstrous. God help us.

So Obama is seeking to have more dialogue with the right wing conservatives in this nation? Or are he and his going to continue to whip up hysteria "fear and suspicion" of all "gun owners" and "uterus grabbing" pro-lifers?
He certainly considers those outside of the GOP-Elite to be "enemies".

i concur with the other posts. chamberlein bought time for britain to prepare albeit at the expense of the czechs. the germans would have beaten them but it would have been a tough fight. britain had to look out for britain first.
