On Monday, a post at Pundit Press reported that the "I hate it when I wake up and Sarah Palin is still alive" Facebook page has gathered over 3,300 members. But many conservatives say the social media giant, now with more than 900 million users, appears to be punishing them with warnings and bans for sharing links and posting comments, causing many to wonder if the site is employing a double standard on the content that is posted there.
The page displays a cartoon caricature of Palin holding a pistol to her head while claiming that it does not advocate assassinating the former governor.
Additionally, the page "likes" similarly-named pages targeting prominent figures like Ann Coulter, Pat Robertson, Rep. Michele Bachmann and former GOP Congressman Ron Paul.
According to Pundit Press, the page even attacked Barack Obama, calling him a "conservative."
In April 2011, one poster at the site, a 54-year-old Marine veteran, expressed a desire to see Palin dead...

Maybe all that just means that people find her amusing.
“On Monday, a post at Pundit Press reported that the “I hate it when I wake up and Sarah Palin is still alive” Facebook page has gathered over 3,300 members. But many conservatives say the social media giant, now with more than 900 million users.”
That means that a whopping 0.000003666% of Facebook users hate Sarah Palin.
I think that makes her the most popular person in the world.
Thanks for posting! Palin haters are never amusing.
I have not received any warnings on Facebook about my posts. Ask the people here at FreeRepublic that on Facebook. Has the FreeRepublic page been limited in anyway? I am not aware of any.
I found the fb page and reported it. There were different reasons to check- inciting violence and something to do with suicide. I checked the violence one for all the good it did.
Someome should start a Mark Zuckerberg site complete with the same type pistol pointed at his head. I bet he would move to have it censored, saying it incited violence against him.
And obama’s same sort of page has 785,000....
I haven’t seen any. But I do have a secret page so not everything get’s put out there (or so they tell me.)
Just look on facebook
Facebook destroys your privacy! I’m not the only conservative who says that!!
Facebook STINKS!!!! If you’re not on Facebook don’t get on it! If you’re on Facebook, get off it and remove all your information from it as best you can.
There is no such page “I hate it when I wake up and Obama is still alive” page.
That’s like saying “just look on the Internet” or some such. Sorry, but it sounds like you can’t back up your claim.
That is not what I said, I said “some sort of page”.
>There is no such page I hate it when I wake up and Obama is still alive page.<
No, the page is called, “I love it when I wake up in the morning and Obama is still president.”
I did not say internet, I said facebook.
Good grief, just do a search, it’s just not that hard, to find the same sort of page.
I’m not familiar with Facebook, I have no interest in it.
Since you’re FB savvy, just post the dang link. Thanks.
Is that your mom?
Damn, she’s kind of homely.
Damn, shes kind of homely.
Kind of how I picture your kids hum-gun, but probably not as bright considering their linage.
The official “Red Jacket Firearms” page was pulled after complaints it promoted violence (ie it is a gun manufacturer and liberals mass reported it). The employees have been pushing hard to get people to complain to Facebook to get it restored.
There has been an organized movement by anti-gun groups to report any and all pages that deal with firearms to get them removed. It has worked on several occasions like the recent Red Jacket ban this week.
hum-gun? ......in high school they called him humaboner.
I would suggest at least signing up to secure your name. I’ve known many cases where fake accounts were made in someone’s name to discredit them.
Now, now, lets not be too harsh, he'll get his panties all up in a bunch again and they'll need an 8 foot pry bar to get them out.
Good point, mercy on the panties.
As for me, I pray that ultimately Americans take back elections and sweep government tyranny away to the point that it's legal to post a Christian cross pretty much anywhere, any time, in America. It may give the right of every other religion to do the same, but so what? That will be a good sign. Then we'll for sure be headed in the right direction.
Somebody needs to point out to people that the reason they have to buy everything in China, is because government tyranny in every aspect of every individual person going about prospering in a "free" nation, makes outlaws of Americans who would manufacture it themselves.
Those who subscribe to the mantra that Americans are childish idiots, are on the wrong side. By definition.
Have faith in your fellow Americans who love freedom. That's the right side to be on.
A damn good way to take back elections and clean up government is to rectify the abuse that both Democrats and Republicans heaped on Sarah Palin and elect her president. I can’t think of a better victory that “in your face” moment would bring.
Another gay man (he said his youtube page used to have a bit where he called himself a sodomite as well as a “satanist” because he’s an atheist) getting in a hissyfit over Sarah Palin.
The Democrat war on women continues.
Zucky has armed security. He’s just like Bloomberg and Rhambo and Baraq’s kids.
Wouldn’t that be sweet! :^)
As a result of what many see as a double standard, Facebook-like alternatives like Tea Party Community and WePluribUS have sprung up, giving conservatives a safe place to connect and share their message. Facebook, however, with hundreds of millions of users, remains the primary social media site used by most politically active conservatives.
Worth repeating as some may not read the full article.
“Same sort?” Well, that’s a range you can swing a cat in.
I’ve seen both pages (including the one mentioned in post 18) and I say they are not :the same sort.” It’s a judgement call. I define “same sot” tighter than you do, that’s all. But you declare your judgement better than everybody else’s on a daily basis, so who knows?
I’ve seen that one. It’s lame.
Because it is, so I think its necessary that I do.
“Lighten up, Francis.”
