CNN's Piers Morgan denies armed guard stopped Atlanta school shooter

On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that an off-duty armed officer at the Price Middle School in Atlanta disarmed a student who managed to shoot a 14-year-old boy in the neck. CNN's Piers Morgan, however, claimed in a tweet that the officer really didn't stop what could have been another Sandy Hook tragedy, Twitchy reported Friday.

"REVEALED: Armed guard was NOT able to stop Atlanta school shooting," Morgan tweeted, linking to the AP report that says the boy was disarmed by an off-duty officer at the school.

Twitchy said that while most "reasonable people" would "consider this an argument in favor of placing armed guards in schools, or perhaps allowing teachers to arm themselves," Morgan claims that since the guard didn't stop the first shot, he really didn't stop anything.

"That’s not only not reasonable," Twitchy said, "it’s pathetic."

"There is no telling how tragic Thursday’s shooting could have been had that armed guard not been in the building," Jason Howerton wrote at The Blaze.

A number of Twitter users called Morgan out for his tweet.

Morgan and the CNN d!psh!t who keeps him on the air need to be dragged out, given the Mussolini treatment they so richly deserve, and then the heads should be switched on the bodies. I mean that figuratively, of course.
