Some Of The Truest Words Ever Spoken By Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan would be 102 years old today.

When I originally created this a lot of people didn't realize that's Obama smoking in the background. That is what he was up to when Reagan was ending the Cold War. The foreshadowing of what will happen to America couldn't be clearer.

They are each outdoorsmen - in their own way

They each participate in athletics - in their own way

They each show their feelings for America - in their own way

Clearly they are from different centuries and different worlds - Reagan from a world in which freedom is good and America is great, and Obama from the opposite perspective. My thanks to President Ronald Reagan for all he did and for giving us the best possible chance, even though we may have squandered it. As for my feelings about Obama . . . this is a family web site.

I'm not trying to start a flame war but the man did say the following;

If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
