Cooking for one sucks. All the more reason to be pissed at my ex-boyfriend.

Poor homosexuals. I thought they were heavily into gourmet cooking, or was it just pouring sauces over each other........

Thanks for the timely advice. I remember now as well how used to it I became of sushi. Missed it so much that I let a friend talk Me into buying some at a local restaurant. What a joke. Then the local Safeway began offering some prepackaged stuff at their deli section. I know, I know. Spat it out (discreetly) in disgust. And don’t even get Me started on the Nissan cup-o-noodles and other stuff they sell. Apologies in advance to any company employees reading this.

Well, for sushi all you need is vinegar/sushi vinegar, some nori, and some stuff to put in it (avacado, shrimp, crab sticks, etc.) and a bamboo roller.

It’s very easy to make.

If you’re lazy, make chirashi-zushi instead and vinegar the sushi and just plop everything on top.

WTH is he/she talking about? Property taxes on cars? What?

Yup. My family is from NC (arrived in 1774). My Gramps left there in 1930 to make his way in the world. Great timing, Gramps! I looked into returning there (we have a family cemetery and a historic site) and read up on the state. Property taxes on your car!! What a hoot!

Tell your wife I truly envy you. Pansit, Lumpya, and Halo-halo -those were the days!

Yes, lummpia is my favorite snack, and my landlady use to make halo-halo to sell at the park, but she had a horribly
antiquated contraption for grinding ice.
Our big annual fesival, The Utanon (vegetable) fiesta just ended.
I do not live in Cebu. I live ON Cebu, listed by Travel and Leisure Magazine, as the third best island in Asia.
I am on a beach in Dalaguete, about three hours south of Cebu city.
This is the vegetable capital of Cebu.

” But $1 / kilo, that’s like $8 for 20 lbs!”

Keep in mind, I pass rice fields as I travel up to Cebu city.
Rice is the number one staple of the Philippine diet.
It comes to the market shops in 100 lb sacks via large flat bed trucks with hundreds of sacks.
Rice is standard for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
It is sad that it does not have more nutritional value.

Phooey! Texas doesn’t need DUmmies! We DO have a good economy and want to keep it. They wouldn’t know what to do with one!

You are a coupon genius! :)

. I can't cook really. So I buy stuff like prepackaged pasta, which lasts me for two days, but still is pricier than the boxed pasta.

Can't cook boxed pasta? Boil water, put pasta in boiling water for number of minutes stated on the box (do not boil the box too), drain water, and some sauce, butter, oil or something and then eat. What could be easier?

How can a DUmmy not be able to cook pasta still think that she can run my life and healthcare?

I get the idea that she really deep-down thinks all that domestic stuff is beneath her, even though she’s practically starving to hear her talk! Geez!

My thoughts exactly. Somebody maybe scamming her or she isn’t in Texas.

“Hello Ms/Mr Whoever. I see you haven’t paid the tax due on your 2001 Chevy Cavalier in two years. Please remit $22,500 to the below address.” Somewhere in Nigeria.

NC sends you a bill for your car much like the west.

This thread is disturbing. Liberals should just be committed to institutional housing and given milk and oreos for the rest of their life. Everything else is off limits in their world.

Do not dare tell them were the sheets and blankets come from.

If the idjit would learn to cook she’d be halfway there. Everybody should know a little about following a recipe. And for crying out loud, if $$ is that tight, plan your darned meals every week! It isn’t rocket science. I’ll bet she doesn’t budget, either. No wonder the BF took a powder.

Couponing is a lot tougher than that. Not everybody finds it as easy as you do.

I am in trouble financially. My paycheck went down by $60 because of the rise in the payroll tax. I am, to put it mildly, screwed. Thankfully, my rent, though higher than I would like, did not go up. But I cannot keep my head above water. I do pay myself every month,, saving $100 that I put in an investment account, which so far is doing better than any savings account would.

Sucker. You wanted 0 bummer and get what you deserve, but also inflicted damage on teh entire country.

I don't like TX much, either. But I moved here yrs ago because it does have a good economy.

I have a suggestion, move your lazy @$$ out of Texas.

Doesn’t know how to use a crock pot???? LOL....That pretty well sums up the mental capacity at du du ville.

I had the same thoughts. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to use a crock pot. It's so easy, a cave man could do it.

I'm not much of a cook, but even I can make something in a crock pot that tastes OK. It's even easier than grilling, and that's saying something.

We're all assuming that these DUmmies are telling the truth in their articles. While finding a Dim who's too stupid to figure out a crock pot isn't a stretch in my mind, assuming that they're speaking the truth is also a stretch. :-)
