Murder defendant George Zimmerman looks startlingly different from the last time we saw him in court. He reportedly gained a whopping 100 pounds because of the stress of the upcoming trial. The former neighborhood volunteer watchman charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of teen Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, 2012, in Sanford, Fla., reportedly always wears a bulletproof vest for fear of being killed.
According to FoxNews.com, 29-year-old Zimmerman also wears a disguise when out in public, which is not very often, and lawyer Mark O’Mara claims his client is in constant fear for his life. “He never feels safe—his security has been cut and he stays inside his secure location all day long due to threats,” O'Mara said.
The excessive weight gain in just six months is due to house confinement and the stress of the approaching trial, O’Mara said, adding that his client’s health is suffering as a result. Zimmerman’s trial is scheduled to begin June 10, but a Stand Your Ground hearing will take place April 27.
This hearing is for a judge to decide if the defendant warrants protection under the SYG statute. If the court rules that Zimmerman killed Martin because he feared for his life and was indeed standing his ground, he gets to walk free and there will be no murder trial...

But the mainstream media thought that Zimmerman was a typical white person (not knowing that he was part-Hispanic and part-black), because of his surname, and wanted to use the case to inflame anti-white sentiment among minorities and opposition to laws allowing self-defense.
Once Sharpton got involved, the authorities decided they needed to railroad Zimmerman to avoid race riots.
It will probably all depend on whether the defense can select honest jurors who will judge the case on the merits rather than on what the media has reported.
So the fat ass Barny Fife wannabe goes out and just to start things up asks some stranger what he’s doing. When the stranger who’s a kid start’s to kick the nosy Barny Fifes ass ...the coward pulls out a gun and shouts him. Now the coward can’t take the stress of having to pay for his weirdness’ and cowardliness not to mention getting his ass kicked by a kid.... So the fairy develops some girly eating disorder and slaps on a 100 pounds of lard. Not that that’s gonna save his fat ass in prison.
But to show that I’m not completely heartless...I’ll treat him to a Whopper before he’s sent away.... LOL
Do you know that Zimmerman picked a fight with Martin as opposed to Martin approaching him and assaulting him? you weren’t there, and neither was I.
Do you think that Zimmerman has any chance at all?
Florida and all it’s liberal racists should pay damages for a sham race trial - right up to the Governor.
All the facts and all the law are in Zimmerman’s favor.
This judge will have to ignore the law and the facts in order to rule against him, and then that decision would be followed by an appeal.
His chances look very good — but this is the corrupt court system of Floriduh.
I don’t know, but if he somehow does get off, he needs to move to his mother’s home country. He’ll get killed if he stays here.
Yet we’re supposed to believe that Chris Christie is electable in modern-day America? Gov. Christie is much bigger than George.
