There are 200 State Senators and Representatives in Massachusetts. Only 33 are Republicans; the rest are Democrats. Massachusetts sends only Democrats to represent her in the US Senate and Congress. Massachusetts obviously likes being subject to the whims of the hardcore Left, which is its choice.
But willfully becoming the toys of the power hungry unbalanced has its price. Whenever Democrats gain such total power they become increasingly dangerous and their lunatic streak comes bubbling to the fore.
Not surprisingly, the latest example of what Democrats will do to their subject victims comes from Massachusetts. A New Bedford Democrat has introduced a bill that would hand over the determination of what is and what is not proper and “acceptable” treatment of animals to private citizen PETA...

Well why stop there, lets give PETA the ultimate authority over Mud-Slimes as we know how much PETA tends to favor animals over humans.
I think the question posed in the title is rhetorical but sums up liberalism. No, it never ends, the end game is to destroy freedom except to allow aborting a fetus and gays to marry.
Maybe the animals can have ‘standing’ to find out why Obama keeps presenting fake birth certificates.

My wife is from there and she moved south to get away from these nuts and she hated the thought her taxes were going to the likes of the socialists only for them to spend her money on left wing agendas and feces sex turd pokers.
I understand fmaily or job but she has family there and she looked for another job, took her some time but she found one and then moved and now she said it;s the best move she has ever done

But will liberals continue to say that groups of people — corporations — do not have ‘personhood’ status (when it comes to campaign contributions), yet groups of animals do?
I guess selective treatment poses no problem for libs. They demand that illegal aliens get ‘in-state tuition’ rates in colleges, while legal U.S. residents from other states do not qualify for it.
Many moons ago, I was a student at San Francisco State University. I had a sign on my books & folders “I love animals, they’re delicious.” Small print announced that the sign came from PETA - People Eating Tastey Animals. These signs drove the marxists batty.

The “craziness” of the people of Massachusetts goes back for quite a period of time in American history. The good citizens of Massachusetts had quite a role in precipitating the American Civil War of 1861. They were a hot bed of fanatics against the Southern culture of that time. The Yankee was a money man the Southerner a culture man.

many reasons to live in Mass:
1. Born there
2. Family
3. Work, higher paying jobs in high tech, defense , bio tech, finance.
4. Mass is quite a beautiful state outside of a few dumpy towns like Lawrence, Dorchester, Roxbury, etc. Some places like Nantucket, Marblehead, Chatham, Beverly, Newburyport, Woods Hole, Greenfield and the Berkshires are absolutely gorgeous.
5. Three Air Force bases. Otis, Hanscom, Westover.
6. Many people outside of the cities are conservative just like you and me. Scott Brown voters. Just like OR, WA, CA, IL , OH, MI & NY the conservatives are outvoted by the dems that live in the big cities. What do people in the upper pennisula of Michigan have in common with the homies in Detroit ? Same thing in Mass.
7. The Berkshires are more like Vermont or New Hampshire than Mass. Small picture postcard towns where you do not have to lock your doors. Same thing with central Mass, except Springfield, Worcester and Fitchburg. Those three cites are dumps where Spanish is frequently spoken.
