How to Freep a Facebook page!! - Vanity
GraceG

Posted on 03/09/2013 10:05:31 PM PST by GraceG

Some of the Facebook pages on certain anti-2nd amendment morons have shut down the comments on them unless you are directly friended on them. Here is how you get around it:

Click the little “Gear” Button, then click the “Report this Page” option then select “Hate speech or personal attack” and the option “Targets People with Disability or Disease”

Example: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2995287/posts

This anti-gun control freak has this facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mary-Hodge/106152966081632

But they shut down any comment on it, as she wants to get rid of veterans right's to posses their god given ability for self protection they are a practice of hate speech and against disabled folks as a fair number of veterans are disabled from serving our country.

Do you believe it’s OK to lie in order to make a point about a position you hold?

Calls to deprive innocent Americans of their civil rights simply because they've served in the military IS abusive hate speech.

I am a vet and a gun owner. Nobody is trying to “deprive innocent Americans of their civil rights simply because they've served in the military”. If you can provide me with the actual language that says that, I will happily stand corrected, but the claim is simply not true. Now, back to my original question...

Feinstein: Veterans May Have PTSD And Should Not Be Exempt From Gun Ban...

At a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting on Thursday, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) opposed an amendment to her Assault Weapons Ban legislation that would allow military veterans to continue to buy the firearms that would be banned. Feinstein says a veteran may be mentally ill and should be prevented from purchasing firearms.

“...a veteran may be mentally ill and should be prevented from purchasing firearms...”

What is the problem with this statement? I know several vets who shouldn’t be anywhere near a gun.

Note that she says “may be.” Not “are.”
So for just having served in the military, YOU “may be” mentally ill and therefore should be deprived of YOUR Second Amendment rights.

Oh - and what does that have to do with the legislator in Colorado that the original poster wanted to lie about?

Yes, a “veteran may be mentally ill” - do you dispute that? And I for one believe that mentally ill people shouldn't have guns regardless if they're vets...

Shameful Colo. Dem lawmaker: No veterans should have high-capacity mags because ‘some’ are mentally ill

Wow, @SenHodge offended military vets saying “some have mental health problems” several people sitting around me in the gallery are upset.

Kelly Maher (@okmaher) March 09, 2013
During Friday’s marathon gun control hearing in the Colorado Senate, Republican Sen. Kent Lambert offered an amendment to exempt active military members, veterans and their families from the gun magazine ban.

Enter Sen. Mary Hodge, a disgraceful Dem who urged fellow lawmakers to oppose the exemption because “some of them come back with significant mental health problems.”

Are you being deliberately obtuse?

I know McCain shouldn’t be allowed to be a Senator. Something broke while in Viet Nam, IMHO.

As someone who has had trouble with liars on Facebook, I wouldn’t recommend this route. Just get on the page and fight like you do here. No need to hit “abuse” buttons. Besides, Facebook will do nothing to stop the page unless it’s likely to face a lawsuit from its contents.

That's the way I read also.

Does she mean WWII vets, Korean War vet, Viet Nam vets or only current war vets?

Is she going to use the VA's determinations or use actually judicial rulings?

Can you read? There was an ammendment offered to exempt vets from a high capacity magazine ban. If the purpose of the law is to keep high capacity magazines out of the hands of people who are mentally ill, and we know that there are veteranss who are, why should vetetans not be subject to the same laws as non-vets? Nobody is saying that all veterans are mentally ill.
