Whatever the true situation, we are so poorly misinformed by our main stream media you wouldn't be able to make a reasonable conclusion on the matter.

I'm getting better perspective via international news reports and FR along with the few websites that post from international media.

Sad state of affairs for our nation.

Once “they” lob a high-altitude nuke at us—it’s all over.

Without power, phones, internet, etc.—NOBODY will know what happened, or who to blame (quite a longish list these days).

Remember that “Somebody” launched a missile from a sub off California last summer. (”Jet contrail” to the MSM) We forgot, though.

Aim it to the East instead of Northwest—tip it with a nuke (no pesky re-entry vehicle required) BLAM at 300 miles, give or take a few and we (USA) can kiss the 21st Century goodbye.
Canada (oil) and Mehhicco (oil), too. what fun.

Two realistic viewpoints. Not to be scoffed at...

>>I dont think our Defense Dept is “paying so little attention”

OK, make it “showing so little reaction”, which by his standards, we and the rest of the world certainly are. Can you imagine his reaction if it was us saying we’ve authorized nuclear strikes on NK?

If Beezle has the last word on whether we strike preemptively he won’t. Unless he can do it with plausible deniablity in case it action goes south.

Something like,
‘The President was at the seventeenth hole and cell phone reception is poor.’

‘Had he been able to communicate with the commanders he would have had them wait before attacking.’

OTOH if the strike went well it’s..
‘ The president was in the war room directing the strike.’

He leads from behind .

Cute! I wonder if the little twerp is getting pissed people are paying so little attention.

He has got to be getting furious at this. He, or his minions have made statements WAY over the top of his predecessor. "Permission has been granted for nuclear strikes on the United States." Stuff like that and everyone is just ignoring him completely, even the press isn't trying to make hay with it. LOL! You just know he is really steaming.

I don’t think the Norks want a war, their ruling class live well and they can’t ‘win’ any kind of war there... a tie with both countries scorched flat would be the BEST they could hope for.

I do wonder sometimes, if perhaps they've started to believe their own cultish propaganda, and believe they could take on and destroy any opponent, or even multiple opponents. They might actually believe it.

Good point, you probably never get promoted in the KPA unless you at least act like you believe it

We might have a missile defense but blowing up incoming overhead is not what you’d call proactive

Obama has made it clear more than once that he would NOT every take proactive steps against a nuclear attack.

He has stated he will do nothing until and if we are attacked first.

Remember unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayres (friend and political operative, works for Obama now on the down low) stated in the past that the US would be better off with 25 MILLION less citizens.
