With gun control, murder, and race much in the news, it’s worth noting that the Obama Administration has solved its longstanding problem that, according to the federal Bureau of Justice Statistics, blacks commit the majority of homicides in the US.
For years, the press has been explaining that more gun control is necessary to keep white men from killing everybody. For example, last Friday the Washington Post featured an opinion article that began:
Imagine if African American men and boys were committing mass shootings month after month, year after year. Articles and interviews would flood the media, and we’d have political debates demanding that African Americans be “held accountable.”

Friday is a slow day in the news business, so it appears to have become an attention-seeking tradition in the prestige media to post extremely stupid anti-white articles on that day, such as the one involving that “mysterious” murder of the black gay politician in Mississippi from four Fridays ago.
Much to the displeasure of the press, however, unwelcome commenters on articles about guns and murder often post links to the Administration’s own “Race” Web page on the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ Homicide Trends website. There, federal bean counters stated:
In 2005, offending rates for blacks were more than 7 times higher than the rates for whites.....

I wonder if there is any way to link these stats with their "over representation" in American prisons.
12% of the population and yet do 50% of crimes and we’re supposed to ignore and even though they have the racist affirmative action for them to get jobs and promotions, they have special college funds, they have all black schools, they are always treated as victims and we’re supposed to ignore all of that and give our guns up and feel guilty for being white

When you’re right you’re right. Black males ages 16 to 30 commit most of the gun crimes in the US. There are plenty of studies to back this up. Without them the US would be one of the safest places on earth. Regulating guns for white middle class law abiding people (the only ones likely to follow those rules) will not change this situation. And new regulations will not stop the white male lunatics who enjoy mass murder either. Some things just are what they are and pretending will not change the facts.
If you add murder from Latino gangs and criminals, the picture looks pretty lopsided. White just aren’t doing their fair share.
Just think where we would be if they stopped killing each other and having abortions.

It’s just a screen capture I made of the NYT’s interactive crime map. I saw something like it a few years back and remembered it, then on a thread discussing murder rates, I decided to go and make my own screen cap. It’s pretty hard for liberals to deny the stats when they are directly from the uber liberal NYT.
Do you have it on a server somewhere that we can use the image?
I just post them to facebook, and then copy the FB URLs.
Maybe after I get done with taxes I’ll get a real account a photobucket or flickr or something, but FB works okay for now.

Once you set up an account, you can click and drag images into it. It appears that they save them forever for free.
