Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero has beaten many opponents on his way to becoming the WBC Welterweight Champion. He has also beaten back leukemia and is known far and wide for his squeaky-clean lifestyle.
In short, Guerrero is a champion in every meaning of the term. He is truly an American hero and role model. But once again, we see the gun control trap set by Democrats snap shut on an innocent, law-abiding citizen.
Guerrero is now facing a felony charge that could put him away for 15 years.
Just like Beth Ferrizzi from yesterday’s edition of this series, the champ was arrested while trying his best to legally check an unloaded firearm at a New York airport. Unbeknownst to many residents of normal states, New York’s gun laws are so complex and strict as to effectively strip all Second Amendment rights from those who foolishly enter its boundaries.
En route to Vegas, Guerrero was attempting to complete an act that is both legal and commonplace in almost all other states … checking a properly encased and unloaded firearm with his luggage.
Guerrero, a known hunter, had been asked to bring one of his firearms by a film crew from Showtime that wanted to get shots of Guerrero shooting and Guerrero, like so many other innocent people, did not realize that New York has effectively shredded the Constitution within its borders.
To add insult to injury, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown issued a press release mocking Guerrero by saying that “I hope he fights better than he thinks.”
Once again, we see the Democrats achieving their true goal at the expense of a good man. Who is the real criminal in this story?

For the life of me I can not understand why anyone would want to step foot in that state now if they did not have to.
New York enacted the Sullivan law years ago at the request of the mob to establish a monopoly on violence. New Yorkers still believe, for the most part, that that law and the ones that followed were enacted to ptotect them rather than enslave them. So long as the bulk of New Yorkers accept this, it will stand. New York is the model for where the left wants to take us.
Tyrant Kim Un Hussein must be very pleased that his efforts to “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are progressing so easily.
What this law would do is prohibit the Governor from responding to extradition requests for anyone living here who is wanted for an alleged violation of a law in New York (et al ~ 8 suspect fascist states) that's not a law in Virginia.
We also need to withdraw reciprocity for NY agents to visit the Old Dominion on duty ~ that'd include cops and politicians landing at Dulles or National. They'd be picked up, jailed in Alexandria, and otherwise disposed of.

I am constantly surprised by how many people are not aware just how bad it is in New York. That has always been the reason that Democrats succeed in pushing gun control down our throats ... because many gun owners do not stay informed. :(
But if the New Yorkers came to Virginia and settled there they would often bring their toxic ideas with them and try to enact them there. Ask states around California how that works out.

The laws are specifically designed to be “complex and strict” to make people unavoidably break them.
Then you can be declared a “Felon in possession” and have all your guns confiscated.
This is how they will come for your guns on a national scale because they know most people who are uninformed will not realize they have broken such onerous laws.
I live in Massachusetts so I have lots of practice with keeping abreast of all firearms infringements....er....laws.
We will provide a safe haven for them and any attempt by New York goon squads to come here and seize them will be met with some serious force and no one will ever see them again (getting that idea from those Korean history operas ~ when you make goons disappear you get fewer goons ~ what's not to like).
