One needs to be skilled in weapons to adequately handle a 12 gauge. With defensive loads there is substantial recoil. Small-framed individuals would not like that.

An AR rifle has light recoil. You want to see a smile on a woman’s face? Give her an AR-15 with a full standard capacity mag and turn her loose on a target.

It is even odder that Feinstein thinks there are that many cops around on a day to day basis.

I think anyone who actually does have any expertise in the subject would disagree with her, proof as how the left appeals only to the “low information” voters.

In other words, they think we are stupid.

First is that if someone takes a hostage, they’ve effectively eliminated the shotgun as a threat... unless you’re willing to put holes in the hostage.
Second is that the level of penetration is limited and body armor will defeat most rounds.
Fourth is limited magazine capacity.

Slugs effectively address these three points -- even if they don't penetrate the body-armor (and I know a 12ga 1.25oz slug will dent ~1/4 in. steel hot-water tank enough to cause stress fractures/tears) they'll do some work on a solid hit.
